I don't blame Comey, he was stuck in a very bad situation
This is why I think he should've resigned. He was in a situation he couldn't really get out of and it kinda casted a negative light on the FBI. He also exaggerated and mishandled a few things but I have my doubts his announcement right before the election had the impact people like to assume it did. If you sat and listened to all the BS against Hillary and we're still for her at that point, his little announcement wasn't going to sway your vote. >.>

He should of resigned but politics. He was still an Obama man and didn't want to offend his political supporters. Trump is in the process of removing all the loyal Obama holdouts, which is why the Democrats are going apeshit. These are the people the Democrats were relying on for their vital information to turn into scandals.

Next on the news, Trump took a hard ***the night before the Dow went down, this was obviously part of his master plan.

That's a strong accusation you are implying there.

Remember when arguing with people like pleebo and Viccious about Hillary emails? Remember when they would say stupid ***like this? You are them right now. Accepting the possibility of corruption, especially in the light of a situation where corruption is a huge possibility, is not making an accusation but rather an observation. Is it a sin to want to hold my elected officials accountable for their actions?

Your hypocrisy here is outstanding.

The thing about Hillary's emails? We knew exactly what she did. What do we know about the Trump/Russia connection? Nada. Zero. Zilch. It's 100% speculation. You've got dirt on a few former aides and nothing on the man himself. That is a YUGE difference between the Clinton and Trump investigations.

It does look suspicious. But there are people here who will blindly disagree and that won't change even if Trump openly admitted to some wrongdoing on live television.

Some people here would still be claiming he was innocent and was forced to confess because liberals or something.
Sure, some people would still say that.

Some people would have defended Obama to the ends of the earth, even if he openly admitted to any of the <insert wrongdoings Obama has been accused of in the past 8 years> he was accused of.

But you shouldn't infer your own opinions in actions based on your political affiliation. If Trump fired Comey because Comey found some collusion between Trump and Russia, then that's grounds for impeachment, and Comey would be vindicated. They were both based off of speculation though, namely the contents of the emails. The difference just seems bigger to you because you have a strong bias towards Trump.

I assume this your opinion reflecting what you saw around in your personal bubble I.e reactions you saw personally around you, on your social media feeds and forums you frequent.

However, I saw from my bubble a lot of enthusiasm get deflated. I saw on my feeds plenty of ardent Clinton supporters have doubts on Oct. 28th and expressed they may not vote now. That went on for a week. The announcement that there was nothing came on Sunday the 6th. That's a weak day in the news cycle. The damage was done.

That's not saying it's the reason she lost in the electoral or the three key states. However it did have an impact due to the timing.

Speaking of timing, it is also the reason why people are looking at Comey's firing suspiciously.

It seems very odd, if not suspicious, for Sessions (who has recused himself from the investigation) to fire the person leading said investigation; Comey.

Something seems very off here. I also call *** on Comey being fired for the Clinton e-mail scandal. There is no love lost between Clinton and Trump, and between her and Republicans in at large; so if you're telling me Trump fired Comey because he felt sorry for the way Clinton was treated by him I literally cannot see it.

The timing is too suspect. This is the third official this administration has fired who has been in the midst of investigating the Trump campaign.

We knew Clinton and her aides were circumventing the law as early as March 2015. We knew Trump was colluding with the Russians as early as never.

Maybe once people stop affiliating elected officials with their party we may eventually come to a point where we can prevent open corruption.

Could have been but given the fact he was able to piss off both political parties at some point in the past 6-7 months I'm inclined to believe that he is less bias then we give him credit for.

I just kinda doubt many Dems were taking much of the Hillary email probe very seriously at that point. If you were voting Hillary as opposed to Trump, I doubt Comey would have stopped you.
