So May is over, lets see if Trump starts off June just as badly. The entire world is telling him not to leave the climate agreement, but he is stupid enough to do it anyway out of spite. It will derail his entire foreign "agenda," but who cares right? If he does it it'll be because it's a terrible deal for America (it is!).
Any spite involved would be icing on the cake for me!

How is it a terrible deal for America? Because the American taxpayer (well, those who actually pay the taxes in this country) would be footing the bill for a social experiment that changes as people with agendas (and personal gain) change into power. Do you honestly believe that this treaty (which never was ratified in Congress) would be paid for by the other countries? Especially by the one country that creates the largest pollution issue in the world (China)?
Yeah, didn't think so.
Just because we are one of the richest countries in the world doesn't mean we have to support the rest of the world for their social experiments.

How is it a terrible deal for America? Because the premise that man can destroy the climate through the process of industrialization and the resulting release of co2 that is involved in it is fraudulent.

Let us join the illustrious ranks of Syria and Nicaragua by dropping out of the agreement. U-S-A! U-S-A!

How is it a terrible deal for America?
It's the proper thing to do, therefor it's a bad deal by American standards. Then why not have your country spend some more money on the deal.
Especially since there will not be any change as long as the main polluter keeps their emissions going full blast.
I'm sure that Canada can fleece their citizens out of a few more hundreds of millions of (Canadian) dollars a year.

No, its absolutely not. I know that you and Trump are in love with coal because you don't know any better, and you believe the Trump lies that the coal industry is booming (its not), but it has always been bad for the environment and remains one of the least efficient energy sources out there.
By fonewear 2017-06-01 12:50:23
I don't think Syria or Nicaragua can afford clean air !

Good thing thats not actually happening, as China has already made strides against their coal pollution.

At least they took the first step at solving the problem, which is identifying that there is one. Had a lot of pressure from the rest of the world, oh, about 4 decades worth now.
Maybe they can start step two this century?

Well Syria kind of has other problems that are more pressing . Nicaragua feels that the Paris Agreement is sub standard to their own.

I don't bother reading sources, but when I don't, I don't even hover over the link itself to see that it is an actual article from Bloomberg, which is a liberal-leaning source and not what most sane people consider a blog website.
I mean, it's not even in the opinion section, but obviously I don't bother to read anything. Cause it damages whatever credibility I have ever had before. That wasn't so hard now, was it?

KN just ignores what is going on in the energy sector of China, instead focusing on soil pollution, because that is relevant to the coal industry.

There's a reason you picked a blog piece that failed to make any mention of co2 emissions.
By Nausi 2017-06-01 13:24:07
soending all that money to reduce temps by .05 degrees is about the dumbest thing to spend money on. You wouldn't even notice that difference (which is the point).
But hey we live in a free country so I'm sure pleebo and Vic will save their own money to donate for the cause they believe in so much. (They won't)

How China is waging its war on coal
A much more relevant article to China's energy sector.

I'm more concerned about the war on women.

Hey last I knew, china was on track to build a new coal plant a week for the next 15-20 years.
Has that changed? Is there a source on that?
By fonewear 2017-06-01 13:26:04
Why would you want a war on coal ? Coal if given enough time will turn into valuable diamonds !

You make up whatever you want, so I'm sure you can "find out."
