How does Rune Fencer defend against meteor if meteor is non elemental? One for All, Shell, DT and its 2hr? What are other ways?

Meteor is non-elemental. That old talk about monsters' Meteor being dark damage is just falacy from level 75 era.
Besides DT- sets, RUN has incredibly high MEva and MDB, especially with lots of JPs. At this point, Valiance and Vallation are mostly to protect your party and for Inspiration. There's still a misconception about RUN as tank. It's not "how a RUN can survive magic damage like an Aegis PLD"? It's the other way around: "how a PLD can dabble in RUN's levels of magic defense"? "Using an Aegis", of course.

On Dark Day it unlocks (Chainspell) Meteor to make your life just a little harder compared to the other days.

I could have sworn extensive testing was done at the 75 era to prove that Monster-Meteor was Dark Elemental? Several bouts of dealing with King Behemoth and Absolute Virtue? If I remember correctly, a maxed out Bar-Dark BRD song + all gear one could muster was the only way to survive AV's Bracelet Meteor?
Obviously this would be 75 era and could have LONG SENSE been changed but I don't think it was a myth? Kb is still darkness based since I remember people occasionally subbing run for darkness resist via runes.

Easily capped MDT and ridiculous levels of MDB and MEVD. Meteor hits me for like 100 damage. If a RUN doesn't understand these things then they need to go change to COR or GEO and let a real player tank.

Your geo can also use fade. Use Aettir. Embolden shell v and we'll times OFAs
Just did Ou, tanked in my "PDT" set, Meteor hit me for 157 a couple times...what's the issue, exactly?

Question about Meteor then, Including Spell and Onca suit, Beast like Behemoth and NMs cast the spell Meteor or is it a job ability?

BLM Meteor is definitely not dark either. Tested on Darksday vs. Firesday, both with & without elemental obi. All damage was the same against a Lv100 mandragora.
As was said already, Maybe Identify the various types of Meteor and figure out each one.
Easy to get a BLM to use in PvP or even a group if you really wana test it. Can do Onca Suit 1, Single Meteor 2, Group 3, and then go test Ks99 and WoE and Aby lathane and even various pop NM in escha zones also as said Eclipse Meteor and Meteor should/are diff but test both same way Does it really matter if all known (or rather, relevant) versions of the spell is non-elemental and purely a matter of meva/mdef?
