Agreed on double galli for a campaign.

Or a campaign that allows for trading in earrings, similar to JSE capes. Would be nice for a way to trade three types of earrings for the choice of one equal earring.

3 nq earrings -> choice of one nq earring
3 nq+1 earrings -> choice of one nq+1 earring
3 nq+2 earrings -> choice of one nq+2 earring

OK, now let's hear from the people who don't have completed empyrean armor and prime weapons. Those are the people who the campaign is aimed at, so those are the opinions that really matter here. I really can't understand why people who are ahead of the curve would be upset. They should pivot to the trust debacle.

I mean, its not like the newer/more casual players necessarily have MORE time for Sortie, so this argument doesn't make sense. If anything, telling someone they can get a benefit and make progress if they spend twice as much of their limited time doesnt sound like much of a bonus. These are the players that also need to do the other content in the game to gear up.

Whereas giving a modest bump in muffins (1.5x even), benefits everyone while respecting their time.

I don't know why we are using the veteran talk to justify it. A veteran is the one more likely to have no problem spending twice as much time on events. A newbie or a casual on the other hand would not be the ones content to spend extra hours playing the game.

Though I do agree overall that they just kind of ignore the vets now or add the most grinding time consuming events to slow them down.

Also what do you mean "and prime weapons"???? If 10k galli and a sapphire is a struggle for someone, how the *** are they getting 1 million galli???

I mean exactly what I said. There are people here complaining about the campaign that already have their armor finished and they've already made prime(s).

Nobody said anyone was soloing a prime. This campaign is supposed to help players upgrade their armor so they have an easier time getting into those groups if that's what they're looking to do. You guys are burnt because you've been doing it for years now, but a player who is still progressing will have no issues at all with being able to enter more often. Not everyone is the same, but most people will learn the content faster if they can attempt it back to back.

I already had empyrean armor when the I-seal campaign came out. Does that mean the campaign is ***? No. It's godlike for anyone who would benefit, but it's not for me. Just like this campaign is not for you and all the other people who have progressed beyond the point that it would be useful. Sucks but fair.

As it stands my group is like Vyre's, we mostly only use it to sweep a hiccup run under the rug and retry. Very, very rarely we'll do 2 full runs on a weekend if the stars align, but most of the time we don't have the gusto for double runs anymore.

I think it's more for people who don't necessarily do daily Sortie, but who do occasionally group up.

This is me. I do Sortie a couple times a week with a core group of 4-5 people. Occasionally I'll hop in solo/lowman or with other friends in their group (as a substitute or something). But it's not a daily thing for me, and since I'm not doing it every day I don't necessarily mind something like 2 straight hours of Sortie on a Sunday night. Kind of a replacement for some other previous group events that took a similar amount of time. Dyna-Divergence, for instance. I'd quit before I did daily Sortie AND double-up on runs though.

And I still think this campaign is pretty lame, even though I'm in the specific subset of players who probably benefit the most from it. Just double the freaking galli, this was not hard.

The other thing I wouldn't mind: first ABCD chest of the day is a guaranteed Sapphire, first EFGH chest of the day a guaranteed Starstone. This is more of a blocker than people who have a regular static and more stones than they will ever use probably realize, but Starstones in particular are so stingy if you aren't doing multiple basement bosses on the regular. Yes, they CAN drop from easier chest objectives, but the drop rate is awful and can be an actual limitation on people who solo or play in small groups who are just trying to upgrade their Empy armor.

People who only do occasional sorites would most likely already have plates stored though... and unlikely to use this campaign very effectively at all because they are not using the KIs they already have to their fullest. I don't understand how this could be construed as pro newbie when they likely are the ones that cannot find groups to go consistently with in the first place.

I play 3-4 times a week. At that rate, over the course of the campaign(maybe twice a year) I would spend ~30 extra hours if I ran every Sortie back to back. That's over a year. Again, why are people complaining? If you're burnt take a break.

This impending campaign is dogshit for the noobs too because its *** disrespectful to peoples time to suggest they will do TWO sorties back to back. Multiple people here, myself included, have made suggestions for a sortie campaign that would help everyone: the newbs and a little bone for the vets. Instead they went with the "*** you, now you get two hours of sortie".

Actually, remember all those "well we cant let Sortie KI's mount up like Omen, we have to limit them because congestion and server limitations"?? I dont remember if this was SE or the playerbase who said it, but whoever it was, that excuse just got flown right the *** out the window, buh byeeee

I very much recall what it was like to be scrounging easy objective chests and doing just A boss because that was me before spring of this year. I vividly remember what being gated by gallimaufry and sapphires/starstones (especially starstones) was like for upgrading empyrean armor. My friends and I only started doing multiboss attempts that refined into consistent runs 2-3 times a week on average this year.

If you had asked me back then (before I started doing boss runs) what sort of campaign style boosts I would've wanted, I would have said more galli and better odds of sapphires & starstones. Heck, I'd even have settled for there being a discount campaign that made the prices of the sapphires + starstones sold by Ruspix be more reasonable (15k sapphires & 90k starstones is insanity).

It's not anymore disrespectful to a newb's time than grinding capacity points or master levels (of which you get both from Sortie trash).

Any newb that actually has Sortie unlocked has progressed through every storyline, and not been shaken off by the game yet, so are generally looking for ways to advance.

If they're at the point in TVR where they need 20k galli to get the weapon to finish the storyline, this can speed that along for them.

It's not the campaign we want, nor the one we deserve, but it's something.

Unpopular perspective here, but IMO, giving newbs twice-daily access to Sortie does speed up their progress quite a bit, if they're already actively doing Sortie every single day. With Sortie, you're literally locked out for 20 hours, so any progress towards Empyrean +2/3 is basically stalled simply because you cannot enter the zone. From a gear perspective, Empyrean +2/3 is the strongest set of gear they can progress towards with minimal effort, aside from Strange Happenings RSE (which isn't currently available). The only thing holding newbs back from upgrading Empy sets is just time inside Sortie, and this campaign gives them exactly that. Giving them the chance to go twice a day vs one is an improvement to gaining likely the best set accessible to them, but of course it comes with effort. Maybe this will motivate some players who aren't doing daily Sortie to do it. If they have to drop other activities during the day to fit in two sortie runs, whatever progress in other content they are skipping is probably minimal compared to getting Galli for JSE sets. Regardless of how "disrespectful" to time it is (and that's subjective, its an MMO, so the game itself has no respect for your time as a whole), the campaign does help newbs.

And I DO agree, the campaign is pretty crappy, but it does fall right in line with their latest motivation to "help newcomers along".

Boy, this seems really well considered and thought out. >.>
I've spent a considerable amount of time carefully reflecting on this matter, examining every possible angle, weighing the pros and cons, and conducting an extensive internal investigation into the situation at hand. I've given it the thought, attention, and intellectual consideration that such a matter undoubtedly deserves. After much deliberation, countless moments of deep contemplation, and a thorough evaluation of all relevant factors, I have finally reached a conclusion that I believe is both reasonable and well-founded. And so, without further hesitation, unnecessary explanations, or any intention of making this more complicated than it needs to be, allow me to express my final thoughts in the clearest possible terms: LOL.

Obviously being able to go twice rather than once helps you progress faster, was anyone in here saying otherwise? The idea that they made this decision because it is somehow better for returning/new players than just increasing the amount of rewards for a single Sortie session is what is getting pushback.

Any sortie campaign is good tbh - half of the population will use the additional plate to run basement chests and do additional +2/+3 unlocks.

I don't have more progress in sortie because my job makes it hard to get home in time for my friends statics AND pay attention for an hour without needed to take my dog out and I don't want to be walking out of solo sortie at 11pm when I'm up at 6am the next day. I don't want an extra hour of game chores if I'm lucky I have enough time to do exiting game chores like farm omen/solo Dyna for gil/do limbus/do oddy segments ect.

Base EP:
18 EP from Abject Leech
194 EP from Cachemic Bhoot
72 EP from Cachemic Ghost
113 EP from Biune Porxie

Granted thats at ML50, lets not act like these are amazing EP numbers. Limbus atleast offers good EP for the content.

If you have a static, this change isn't aimed at you. You're already in position to progress normally so you don't have to care about running an extra hour because you're already up to speed.

Like I said, I'm also a casual player. I typically split runs and alternate chest farming with galli farming. I open as many boxes as I can for starstones and pre-farm KIs, then I'm set for focusing galli on the follow-up run.

Now with the campaign I will be able to do a prep run for a handful of boxes and KIs, then leave and go directly back in for the real run. So I'm essentially doubling my income for only an extra ~20 minutes of time. As stated, players who haven't unlocked gear for additional jobs can now do that in a matter of minutes without disrupting anything they already had scheduled. I don't see the problem.
