I was going to join the Democrats but being white disqualifies me. I need to join some minority movement to be a part of the majority or something.

The Republican list is just as sparse. Which speaks more about mediocrity of American politicians of the last 50 yrs.

What was that? I'm sorry...I couldn't hear you while I was swimming in my scrooge mcduck pool of gold coins.

/towels off with a mink coat and has one the servants toss it into the fire of redwood trees

You were saying something about sparse? /looks at the trillions of dollars we made drone striking everything.

I understand your concerns... I'll see if there is anything else we bomb and get back to you.... there has to be a baby somewhere with candy we haven't taken yet...

/looks at the globe

So weird. 2 yrs ago you were “whaaaa Obama and his drone strikes are unconstitutional!” Today you’re “Drone Strikes mad me rich”

News flash we didn’t extract the natural resources of Middle Eastern countries in order to enrich the average American joe.

None of the Republican instigated wars of the last 40yrs have brought the promised spoils to te average American. This is partly due to cost plus contracting and lack of any strategy outside of temporary occupation. Both of which have extracted more money from the Treasury and DoD budgets than have been returned.

Remember: “Hey we found a 3 Trillion dollar copper reserve in Afghanistan but let the Chinese have rights to it and didn’t receive a dime.”

Matter of fact we’ve let the Chinese pretty much have rights to everything in the Middle and Far East without profiting from it. Good job.

You’re still living paycheck to paycheck today like you were since the 80’s. You think Social Security is a joke but that’s because you’re looking at the early partial payout (because you’re lazy and think you have money) and never thought about a Roth IRA when you 25 to 30yrs old.

Get back at me when you realize that...

I can't figure out what you're upset about... that the chinks got all the copper? Would you have felt better if you had gotten a copper coin in the mail with a note that said "Thank you for supporting the global war on terror" signed by President Trump.

go dig an old penny out of your couch cushions, I'll go write your "award of participation" and then we can have them framed together.

if you cut yourself in the process of digging in your couch and a little blood gets smeared on the penny that would be even better.

I'll get my hands dirty with oil and smudge your letter.

You seem mad bro. Given you had to rethink and readdress that previous response.

I got a kid to raise, coupled with contracts with the DoD and DoI along with the end of sequestration; “abject poverty” isn’t an option even if I tried to make it a goal this year.

Yes we know your evil Republican mantra is “I got mine, *** you!”, but the point (which you agree is why it’s all one big joke on the little guys on your team that actually believe your said riches will one day trickle down to them out of your benevolence, and why the party shouldn’t exist at this point), is these broke *** believers are never going to get theirs. That they’ll never wise up to the scam.

Which begs the question: Is the stubborn pride of the quasi educated American who doesn’t know they’re being taken advantage of, unlimited? If not, how much longer can one dangle the carrot before they realize they’re not actually on the same team?

I broke up my response to your previous post into multiples because you lordgrim'd it back there into several topics. drone strikes, copper, living paycheck to paycheck...etc.

you seemed upset so I thought I would break my response down into separate categories and answer them one at a time instead of posting a huge wall of text

to answer this question... it doesn't matter.

the democratic party is the oldest party in existence and so far none of their members has figured out there is nothing it for them other than feelings. except the coal miners...

AH HA! but of course you meant evil republican carrots... and that answer is forever.

you see there are two fundamental principles of human nature at play.

1) nobody will work very long without some kind of reward.
2) you can't appreciate that which you haven't earned.

like all rules there are exceptions but take a moment to consider these two principles.

You have the carrot (wealth) dangled in front of the horse (the average working American man and woman) on a stick (a job) offered to them/held by a jockey (rich white landed gentry). At some point, the horse is going to wise up, knock the jockey off and steal the stick.

it's a self correcting problem once you figure out the secret to wealth, you hold the stick. it's the basis of capatalism and if you steal the carrot you never figure it out. go ask pol pot/communism.

Horses like apples better. Also jockeys are racing so not gunna be dangling during that. That's what the crop is for. And at the end of your story the horse gets put down

one example would be bill gates and steve jobs who both became extremely wealthy.

all they did was offer their products to people and everyone fry'd

it's the best way to become wealthy. they didn't have to steal, people just kept throwing money at them until it piled up.

people are so dumb that even when they do manage to steal money, they don't appreciate it and they just blow it on stupid ***.... like the latest iphone.

you go hard or you go to the glue factory.

so even if zero could create some mechanism by which wealth was redistributed without cost by some arbitrary fairness protocol that he designed. within a very short amount of time all of the money would naturally return back to where it started out. to where it is right now.

because the unfairness that liberals see inherit in the system is just your perception. it actually is a fair system that rewards things like hard work, perseverance and intelligence and conversely punishes stupidity, laziness and stubbornness.

poverty is simply a symptom of ignorance and impatience.

rather than work towards and save up to purchase the things you actually need. you throw away your future by purchasing things you think you want, on credit.

it's not steve jobs fault that you idiotically decided that buying the latest and greatest iphone was more important than saving for you and your children's future.

take a moment to reflect on all of the money you have spent on things you didn't need. add it all up. there is your wealth.

nobody stole it from you, you happily gave it all away.

So much this. While there are a few people in my life that have legitimately been screwed by "the system", the vast majority who complain about not having enough money either got there because they spend their money as if they have a bottomless well of it somewhere and don't want to do what it takes (e.g. get a degree) to make any more money than they currently do.

1. That’s a lot of words to simply say: “profit motive”
2. Nor can you appreciate that which you have earned. It’s in an intrinsic flaw in the design.

it's worded very carefully.

you can appreciate that which you have earned though.

most people don't and that is the problem. worse yet they spend money that they haven't even earned yet and that is where they get into trouble.

the simplest way to appreciate what you have earned is to cash your paycheck. then budget for your needs then with whatever is left over decide how much to waste vs how much to save.

the trick with casinos is they take your cash and they turn it into chips. your brain no longer associates the cash you are losing, you're losing chips. no biggie. it's a game.

credit card companies do the same thing with a credit or debit cards. you no longer associate how much work it took to earn the cash you are about to spend, because it's not cash. it's just a card.

you stick the card in the machine and your wants/desires are met.

when you go back to cash and think about what it took to get that cash then you can more carefully consider your purchases.
