i just got a laptop to play 14 with a friend of mine. for the minimum specs for 14 everything was fine to run except 2 things.
1. graphics card I only had 128 video ram I think it said out of the minimum 256 it said you should have.
2.the processor is a intel core i3-7100U (2.4GHZ).
now with these two things not meeting minumums reqs could I still run 14 on this laptop or should I just take this laptop back and get a desktop.

If it doesn't run it you can always play 11.

The integrated graphics are simply using shared memory, so they're taking at least 128MB, but can pretty much use as much RAM as is available.
Seems like it'd probably do fine at 720p at least. You will, however, get a lot more performance for the money if you go with a desktop, with the potential to upgrade the GPU if you end up wanting to. Try it, it'll probably run like ***though. My (quite outdated) gaming desktop couldn't run high settings in crowded areas without getting some lag. On a laptop, it'd probably be a very unenjoyable experience if you could even get it to a playable fps with integrated graphics.
XI is still a way better game though, if you haven't already played XIV it gets very boring very fast.
