There's not much you can do.
I heard paradise, CA was mostly parched grassland more than a forest, per se, but I don't live out there, and am only going off of 'facts I don't like' reports in this instance.

Well first of all, No Forest fires don’t happen everywhere because there aren’t forests everywhere. Second California isn’t the only state to have “Forest Fires” this severe. Arizona, Tennessee, Alaska, Texas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Oklahoma tend burn 500k + acres a year. To put that in perspective: 2017 the top 3 in order of 3,2,1: CA = 1,266,224 acres burned NV = 1,329,289 acres burned MN = 1,366,498 acres burned Now to the why do you hear about California more than anybody else? Because it’s California.
