On Khashoggi, the Saudis have a new story with a glaring hole
Washington Examiner - reliably conservative
Quote: On Friday, Saudi Arabia acknowledged that Jamal Khashoggi was, in fact, dead. The cover story devised by the kingdom would be laughable if the matter weren’t so serious. According to Saudi media, Khashoggi died in a physical altercation at the consulate in Istanbul.
Not only is that ridiculous and contrary to all evidence, but it also has a glaring hole that the crown prince will be hard-put to fill.... Not that this doesn’t smell fishy, but, what is the evidence there story is flawed? If it was an accidental death from a physical altercation the Saudis will have to produce an unmutalated body.
Why couldn’t circumstances exist that rationally explain a mutilated body? The conflict within the saudis and their quest towards modernity is not unknown. I mean this is the religion of peace, certainly something could have hapoened where strong islamist ideologues might have dismembered someone in an attempt to derail the prince’s intention.
Or the royal family could havr ordered the whole thing.

But your saying he was arrested for collusion with Russia, meaning election. That was not the case. The case law I quoted was from the cnn article dated Sept 15, 2018. I will dig up the article again if you like. It stated right in there that no election collusion. It was all about him making some money.

Your sentence hardly makes any sense, but let me sum this up for you.
- He is guilty of fraud & conspiracy against the united states
- He was working for a Russian Oligarch
- He was the campaign manager of Donald Trump Those three have absolutely nothing to do with each other. They mever sid, and there is nothing that legitimately connects them
Surely you realize this, or are you like incapable of critical though? I mean you’re exhibiting 100% NPC tier programing.

And those charges were abandoned by the Mueller team once they secured a tax evasion conviction.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/paul-manafort-rick-gates-told-surrender-special-prosecutor-probe-n815536
Quote: The indictment says that both men generated tens of millions of dollars as a result of their lobbying work for the Ukraine. They hid the payments, from 2006 through 2016, by laundering the money through scores of U.S. and foreign corporations, partnerships and banks, according to the charges.
Their work included lobbying "multiple Members of Congress and their staffs about Ukraine sanctions" and "the validity of Ukraine elections," according to the indictment.
Election collusion where?

Election collusion where? There is none, but asking that =/= “orange man bad” so there’s not need to question it.

Shiroi, show me one crime that has anything to do with collusion.... You most certainly did NOT say anything about who colluded with with whom and for what. One crime? There were dozens. Manafort is guilty of collusion. Period. End of sentence.

The only reason anyone even uses the word "collusion" in regards to Manafort is because they like the Pavlovian response. It somehow justifies in their head the whole Mueller investigation into Trump collusion, even though the charges that have come out of it have practically nothing to do with Trump. If a single word can connect those feel-good dots, then that connection most be defended even if it means using the most flimsy logic imaginable.

good luck explaining it to John Cleese
“I’m merely giving pointing out that Mr Trump is a sleazy, corrupt, egotistical and mendacious sociopath,” the actor wrote. “What I’m trying to understand is why Evangelicals approve of him.”
