Don't laugh too soon. The ratings aren't great. They're paying a lot of money for a cast that isn't bringing in a lot of viewers, so it's an uphill battle to keep it going.

This is true, his intentions are as this states.

However, the words in the actual amendment do not reflect this, and the actual wording in the amendment are the only legally binding words that matter in court.

Nausi you realize that the US isn't a monarchy, a King doesn't write laws via decree. The determiner of a Constitutional amendment's scope is determined by the States the ratify it. If those who ratified it didn't want it applying to children of non-citizens they would of wrote it that way. That entire highlighted paragraph is missing from the 14th Amendment.

The people Constitutionally charged with interpreting the Constitution are the Supreme Court and they have long since weighted in on this issue. The lack of a clause specifically excluding natural born children of foreigners and those same foreigners being under the jurisdiction of US laws prevents them from being excluded from the citizen granted by the 14th Amendment.

The 14th Amendment is even more clear then the 2nd Amendment, so unless your willing to accept a "living Constitution" and become a liberal, then you must accept the 14th at face value. Or you could be a hypocrite and just agreeing to things you like without critical thinking.

As I told him, if they wants to exclude children born from foreigners they would have written that in or even added it later as another Amendment.

2nd amendment guarantees rhe right to “bear arms” this could mean muskets, but it doesn’t because there is contextual relevance to the intent behind the language.

There is a case here, and it will goto the SJC.
