Hello all,

Sorry to post but after looking through many pages of the dancer discussion thread I was unable to find a sample of an ideal waltz potency set (all discussions focused on melee/ws sets)

I know cure potency is easy to cap but is there an "ideal" set?

Only difference would be that you can drop Anwig salade for something with more punch (Horos Tiara, or some other high CHR piece), since we're not as limited by recasts now.

I just save inventory space and use Mummu Bonnet +2 for curing waltzes.

body="Maxixi Casaque +1",

legs={ name="Herculean Trousers", augments={'Weapon skill damage +5%','Accuracy+11',}},
feet="Maxixi Shoes +1",
neck="Unmoving Collar",
waist="Windbuffet Belt +1",
left_ear="Roundel Earring",
right_ear="Handler's Earring",

My Curing Waltz set is a slight overkill, and I'm sure I could stand to replace a few accessories (earrings and rings). I believe "Cure effects received" includes waltzes, but I'm not sure. I can't find anything on it. That said, 3 of my items include this feature. One includes Blink, which is quite usefull, as Curing Waltz/Divine Waltz generate quite a bit of enmity:
Code
-- Waltz set (chr and vit)
    sets.precast.Waltz = {
	head={ name="Horos Tiara +3", augments={'Enhances "Trance" effect',}}, -- Waltz Pot. 15%
    body="Maxixi Casaque +1", -- Waltz Pot. 15%, Rec. 6%
    hands={ name="Buremte Gloves", augments={'Phys. dmg. taken -2%','Magic dmg. taken -2%','Rng.Atk.+10',}}, -- Rec. 13%
    legs="Dashing Subligar", -- Waltz Pot. 10% + Blink
    neck="Etoile Gorget +2", -- Waltz Pot. 10%
    waist="Gishdubar Sash", -- Rec. 10%
    left_ear="Thureous Earring",
    right_ear="Impregnable Earring",
    left_ring="Paguroidea Ring",
    right_ring="Defending Ring",
    back={ name="Toetapper Mantle", augments={'"Store TP"+1','"Dual Wield"+2','"Rev. Flourish"+20','Weapon skill damage +5%',}}, -- Walty Pot. 5%
	}

That said, "Cure Potency received" differs from "Cure effects received." For this reason, I wondered if CER could apply to cure, BLU spells, and waltzes, while "Waltz effects received" would only apply to waltzes. As I don't see anything definitive on it, I don't really know.

I concede that I am likely completely in the wrong...which is fine. I was just hoping for a definitive answer.

Here is my set for Waltzes:
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/150086

Anwig salade has Waltz delay -2 which reduces recast by 2 seconds, super useful esp for those higher tier waltzes

Waltz Potency is way better than stacking CHR. I stack enmity- in free slots without potency.

Herculean set has an augment that gives up to 11% max waltz potency so you could potentially have +55% waltz potency if you get max on all pieces in the set alone, but I use anwig salade + AF1 body for 10%.

I have around +30% currently and pretty much never have to use any Waltz higher than II or III on bosses/ambuscade etc.

The gear cap for Waltz Potency is +50%, I believe. (+30% for Waltz Potency Received, which is a separate category.) It isn't too hard to hit that, especially once you get the relevant AF/Relic pieces to 119, so most other slots can be used for CHR or enmity modification.
