Anyone got a Asuran fist set idea lurking around? Mainly want it for rp farming on blunt mobs.

Getting 99999 with prime isn't even that difficult the times itll drop a lot is if box step / dia 3 / geo frail / indi fury arent all max'd. Without climatic you can do around 80k even.

Its not about the 99999s since thats easy. Its about maximizing Climatic to get near all 99999s.

So me and my rag tag team of casuals are trying to do melee strat where PLD is main healer. I am typically RUN tank for things we do but since we have a PLD they have asked me to DNC but no one knows what exactly it is I am suppose to be doing in there and I would like to perform optimally rather than guessing if I messed something up during the run. My gleti's is only R15 and nyame is R15(group went to FF14 before we could work on better clears), my DNC knowledge is limited but I catch on fast. Other than prioritizing samba/steps is there any intricate details per boss that would help my group or myself dps more efficiently? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Use Presto prior to pull then Box Step when your on the boss do another Presto and Box step

You can use this combo to possibly maximize your Climactic flourish

CF > WS(1) > RF > WS(2) > Jump (3) > High Jump (4) > No Foot Rise (+250TP) > WS (5)

You can afford 1 attack round without losing Climactic early, but it's tricky.

Use Chocobo Jig II after C/G boss is killed since you will have Haunt.

(basement only) Your weaponskill frequency is a lot higher then everyone elses so add in a Rudra’s Storm every now and again if you feel like damage is getting low on Ruthless Stroke.

Really cant thank you enough, this is close to what I thought just from skimming the forums and reading the older threads on "best" optimal use of grand pas and how to fit in as much as possible but was not sure and now I feel more confident in the setup and will practice it. Appreciate the input good sir. cheers!

edit: no ruthless stroke yet, so ill be riding rudra's.

The corsair and geo have done a few things with elemental shot sets and occult acumen sets to dramatically up their damage

Could you elaborate here? Is it occult acumen in quick draw set for more tp, and then still savage blade for the COR? How about the geo?

COR would use Store TP in their quick draw set to increase TP gain and WS frequency. GEO would use occult acumen in their casting sets to the same effect. Guessing Black Halo for the WS.

Sohja, I will keep this mostly Dancer tips.

If you have Regal Gloves you can build a DMG to TP set, that helps out. You can also drop shell with the following set to get a good amount of TP.

ItemSet 396627

Aim to get 4 WS per CF. Since you do not have a Ruthless, ride Rudras more, and you can use Shark Bite also.

Lunafreya posted an opener a page back:
"opener is Clim > Ruthless > Reverse > GRAND PAS HERE > Rudra (1 WS under GP) > Reverse (1st charge) > Ruthless (2 WS under GP) > Reverse (2nd charge) > Rudra (3 WS under GP) > Trance > Ruthless (4 WS under GP) > Reverse (final charge) > Rudra"
Just work in shark Bite instead of Ruthless

Work out a good step rotation where you are keeping Box at 10, but using the other steps with presto to build FMs.

I mostly go RDM right now, as we do DRK as the main DD(This is how the jobs worked out with our group to start) and we are in the 13 minute range doing that. If you need some suggestion for the RDM or COR you can send me a message.

Lawii is exactly right. Only thing I’d change in the set above is incorporating a roller’s ring if your COR is hitting 11 on tacticians or misers which they should absolutely make sure they hit 11 on tacticians.

Our COR will pre-roll an 11 on the way to Aminon to make sure they have one active and roll tacticians until they hit 11. We don’t pull until they do.

If you want more DMG->TP, wouldn't Gleti's Body + Regal Gloves + Head/Legs/Feet Turms+1 be better? (More Regain too)?

Just thinking out loud, for the best possible set for DNC vs Aminion to wear, in between Weaponskills.

Turms Legs and Feet only have Regen on them not Regain.
All of Aminons hits are Magic, so the PDT should be fine on the Gleti's

You are correct. My mistake. Also, I understand why all of the pieces are there, except for Dedition Earring? What is Store TP+8 giving you in between WSes against Aminon?

Also, what stats do you recommend on the Ambu cape?

Are you referring to stage 5 Mpu Gandring? I have Stage 4 and I'm not super happy with my 99k Ruthless Strokes. Only 2 out of 60:

1.) What augments on the ambu cape? (I felt like Sacro Mantle's DEX and AGI +25 + WSD+6% might have been better than a DEX+30 and WSD+10 but I'm not sure)
2.) I have 2 Nyame pieces at R30, rest are at rank 25, so I do need to get on the R30 RP. Need moar segs.
3.) What do you recommend for swapping out Moonshade earring at 3000 TP? or (1750, since I use Centovente + Moonshade).

I guess I can Ruthless/Rudras in an Ambu cape with DEX+30 WSD+10 Acc/Atk+20 and Store TP+10. Don't know if I want DA+10 for Aminon?

I'll also have to get RP to Nyame R30 my 3 remaining pieces.

Not sure what else I can do

Aminon you idle in STP cape and use Ambu WS cape.

The 99999 spam is from Climatic buffing the WS. On NQ Aminon you can average 99999 on DNC with perfect Climatic usage.

So no DA at all?

What constitutes perfect Climactic Flourish usage? 4 WSes per CF? How many Steps used?

5 WS is the goal for every climactic. 5 finishing moves always. Finishing moves should always be capped when using climactic and reverse.

If you get to 1000 TP and climactic has less than ~12 seconds left on recast it’s pretty much worth waiting for it especially because you’re giving the rest of the party a chance to WS to break up wall.

There’s little reason to not average over 90k on NQ Aminon as dnc if you’re using prime dagger.

Start with 9 FM and over 1k TP
Climatic > Ruthless
Reverse > Rudra's
Box Step > Presto > off step
*Can use a Jump or No Foot Rise to get TP > Ruthless
Reverse > Rudra's
*Get beaten to get TP > Ruthless

Build TP and FMs while Flourish III comes back > Repeat

In my group we kill so fast that by the time I've gone through my opening salvo I'm getting random deal'd and then wild carded. My opening volley generally goes like this

Precharge presto during pull --> Box step as soon as Aminon is in range --> Presto --> Box step

Doing that gets box step to level 10 within the first 5 seconds of pull. Then

Climactic --> Ruthless --> Reverse Flourish --> Rudra's --> Trance --> Ruthless --> Icarus Wing --> Rudra's --> Frostbloom tincture --> Ruthless --> Quickstep --> No Foot Rise --> Gran Pas --> Reverse Flourish --> Climactic --> Ruthless --> Reverse Flourish --> Rudra's --> Quickstep

By this point Aminon is down to around 65-70% and I'm gonna be getting random deal and wild card. Usually wild card hits climactic and /or reverse flourish and climactic is still up for another 2 weaponskills so I can go straight into that again, but even if it doesn't wild card is coming soon after so you'll be going right into your third rotation very soon. Watch the log and reapply box step when sluggish daze wears off (not before) to maximize finishing move return, and that takes you straight into the wild card reset. If you get trance or gran pas back go ham, otherwise just ride your resets and burn the thing to the ground

NQ Aminon should be dying in 6-7 minutes if your group is up to par, but that heavily depends on the quality of the corsair geo and red mage. A good corsair with all his sets maxxed out spamming absorbs and tping with elemental shots can put up almost as much dps as the dancer, and a good geo with occult acumen set and thundaja spam can post some impressive numbers as well. Red mage and geo should hopefully be in the same general ballpark.

is there a magic distance you can stand away from Aminon to be able to box step, jump, ws etc. while engaged but not melee swing? I'm trying to figure out the best advice for not giving Aminon TP w/ melee swings while being able to do steps when needed quickly

Yes, but the exact distance depends on your race. I'm sure someone could put together a chart/list for all races, or someone of your race can tell you the number.

Note Aminon knocks back so unless you're using Anchor, you'll need to move back to that position about every other auto-attack, unless your tank doesn't get knocked back AND you have your back against a wall at the perfect distance.

You can do all of that beside WS in normal melee distance just facing away from your target.

I am a mithra (small) and stand at 5.1 to engage/step/disengage, WS just fine while disengaged from that distance. I've never swung at Aminon once.

This is a gearswap feature though, vanilla players can't do that.
