Uhhhh....Aeneas is your best bet if you aren't building a Twash or Mpu. Aeneas/TP Bonus is extremely good dmg on DNC with proper climactic usage. Aminon viable and all.

really? i have one and never use it, and was told i couldn't come dnc for aminon unless i have stg3 prime :(

i guess i'd rather make an aeneas than a twashtar but i still don't think it's something i'd focus on personally but i guess it depends what your goals are.

Aenas/TP should beat Gleti/TP for everything. I use it cus I don't have Twash (lazy & poor).

Stage 3 + prime definitely helps no doubt about it. You need to be careful/use a sub optimal WS on A/E and potentially D/H depending on the element due to not having access to Ruthless Stroke.

That being said it is still do-able. Positron posted a 9 boss no prime dagger video a while back.

If you are serious about DNC, especially if you are bringing it up to bring to sortie, I'd recommend investing at least the 1mil into stage 3 but Aeneas is still a really good dagger.

Prime on Aminon is to avoid WS walling yourself with Rudra, but realistically if you avoid doing 3 Rudra in a row and let someone WS in between, then you will be fine. Ofc with Prime you have potential to make faster clears.

Are they using Aenas or Twash in that video though? There's a big difference between killing NMs or paying the measly 25M to RMT for an Aeonic and all the effort and money needed for a Twash.

Terpderp has been collecting dust for quite a bit now so I grabbed an Air Knife for science lol. Should I have grabbed an Onion Sword instead? Probably, but I rarely get to use dancer for anything so I don't really care for the utility tbh.

Locus Imps with lv.10 box step and dia III. No food, building flourish, attack buffs, etc...

Terpsichore + Air Knife ws average: 17,832
Terpsichore + Twashtar ws average: 17,281

Honestly a pretty nice offhand option for Terpderp PK spam. Weaponskill averages were nearly identical, but Air Knife has higher white damage with it's additional effect. It has a nice chunk of evasion for tanking and the 10% haste is actually kinda nice for tanking sets to stay haste capped. Aeneas/Twashtar + TP offhand still blows it away though. It's not even close lol.

Since the additional effect is magic damage it is also boosted by Orpheus's Sash. However, it is not boosted by any form of normal magic attack bonus.

Dirty Mog Bonanza Kupon Returner here. Catching up on dnc reading and am wondering about the standing of the RMEA etc discussed above.

I see the info specific to Aminon, but am I interpreting correctly that Twash/cento is still king for overall damage, meaning non Aminon? I figured Prime was the strongest but like I said I'm just coming back so it wasn't based on anything in particular.

I've only got Terp and was trying to decide if I finally want to do Twash after all these years or if I'd be better off finishing an Aeonic quickly and then working on the Prime grind.

Tldr; what's the pecking order for DNC Ultimate weapons these days?

Prime is definitely strongest dnc weapon in and out of sortie, but especially sortie because of the WS sc properties on top of having really good ws

Male Taru, male version gloves, so in theory everything should work.

Ok I have found the issue.. I turned off dressup and it works >.> Was dressup always worked like that, or it's a +4 problem? I mean it must be +4 problem, because I can equip everything else. I guess dressup needs update?

This was happening before +4s. I encountered this as well prior to race changing.

Is there a minimum TP cost for Steps, or will Horos shoes +2 and Setan Kober offhand make them cost 0 TP?

Yeah, you're right. I thought they cost 50TP instead of 100 for some reason.

Minimum step cost is 1 TP, Setan Kober x2 and Horos Toe Shoes. In a practical sense it means nothing because, similarly to using just Toe Shoes, you are still required to have the initial step cost of 100 TP to perform the JA.

Most leg armor has no dex. It's just what they decided to do with stats.

Yep its something that people overlook on relic+4 on THF, saying it's weak because it only has 9%WSD, but they don't see +21 DEX there or don't know how rare that is on legs.

I know that, but they should have made an exception here.

DNC belt options are pretty ***too it feels, since they suffer from extra DW in a party.

What do you mean? Sailfi belt +1? Windbuffet +1? Kentarch+1? Sweordfaetels +1?

Which belt that has dual wield is better than those?

I mean normally it would be Reiki with STP/Acc/DW like RDM THF COR use. I didn't realise Sweordfaetels +1 was relatively cheap, I thought that was one of the 80M belts. I'll swap to that.

Not dropping 8M on hides to +1 Kentarch any time soon. I need neck+2 before that.

Yeah but if you take away DW, which DNC doesn't need, Reiki is just 4sTP belt. It's only good because it provides DW, but it's way better to have that DW natively and has WAY better options for belt slot like DNC has. I haven't also mentioned defensive options like Null.
