In this economy if you don't have a job it's either because you don't want one or you're holding out for some dumbass job for your degree like interpretative dance.

President Trump's economic plan is actually working, less regulation and more capital for investment means employers are far more willing to increase headcount. Hell the whole "Gig" economy that the Democrats are lamenting is because of Obamacare and other onerous regulations that deincentivize companies from increasing the number of full time employees. Wage growth and inflation are the exact same thing, or rather two sides of the same free market coin. Ideally they should track each other closely with short term fluctuations due to market disruptions, both positive and negative. Also be VERY careful of using cost of living over anything more then a decade. Four decades ago we didn't have cellphones or the internet yet those are now counted as a requirement for living.
