Well if you can kill the add and it doesn't respawn, you can simply push Bumba to like 50% and hold (on RUN), kill first add (PLD+DD+RDM+some support like SMN. Can use self sufficient DD with strong buffs/debuffs like BLU or DNC for this). Then enter second fight with zerg team and zerg from 50% ignoring second add.

The fact that the nm changes aura when they use the second 2hr is gonna be interesting on ongo. It significantly increases the odds you get either magic attack or magic accuracy down in one of the two windows.

ANY weaponskill activates the wall. It's completely different from the multiple uses of the same weaponskill nerf you see in dynamis. The sortie basement bosses only allow one full powered weaponskill every 10 seconds.

Not so bad, finished with like 2 mins left and we took our time, using a probably not optimized setup. Guess it will be another story for t2+ tho.

You also have a chance of bad aura changing to "good" aura, so it should balance itself.

You are confusing things. We have both of that in game. Dynamis NMs for example have same WS wall. Every use of same WS nerf damage of that WS. I think it's like 20/40/60/80% reduction after each usage? Then it stays at 80% reduction forever(?) until you reset by using different WSs.

WS wall we first got in sortie on E/F/G/H bosses is 90% reduction for all WSs in 10 sec window after first full power WS. You can't reset this wall. You need to wait 10 sec.

We haven't tried yet.

We did however kill Gog the same way, killed both adds. Roughly same time left too, around 2 mins.

Did you check the amount of RP required for R26 and R27 maybe? Are those in line with the expected numbers as well?

Haven't yet but the RP won from T1 without amp seemed pretty much the same that what is currently on bgwiki - 1164 or so, so it seems like it's the expected numbers

We got U'bnai and Sgili with the usual MB setup, didn't kill the adds just the RDM bind/grav/sleep them.

Tried Procne. First add took forever to die. We timed out. Went back in at 44%, first add didn't repop but Procne used Perfect Dodge right when the fight started, not sure why. Tried to kill it with the 2nd add still alive, but the regen seems to be too strong for that.

They were always using SP ability from 75% if they were below when you reenter. What's new is that add didn't spawn when it happened in your run.

Based on regen rate in our run (was in group with Shaedhen), you need to either kill both adds, disable regen somehow or get some giga-white damage going, otherwise the boss is not dying.

I mean for Procne, you should probably use team B first to kill first add. Use something like DNC+RDM+BST+THF+WHM for massive def down and killer instinct and RUN or PLD to hold Procne after getting it down to 75%. Then go with Arebati setup RNG+COR+BRD+GEO+tank+SCH and just destroy Procne with 2x Armageddon and COR WSing every 10 sec.

Anyone try positioning the adds close to the boss and seeing that has an effect on the wall?

It makes sense they’d do it like this given it’s the last Odyssey update and they added crit rate to Nyame, but sucks because this is gonna be out of reach for even more people now.

It’ll also make failed runs costly

It's up for several hours. We only have testimony of one group trying it for the first time, probably without any specific strategy, just "lets see how it goes" mindset. We know just few facts and you are crying like a little child about it already. Not sure if that's more funny or pathetic tbh.

Simon, the fights are not hard though. We already have the formula, these fights are just exact copies of each other. The only challenge is if you choose to do 3 NMs in one run, otherwise, this content is not difficult at all.

OTOH this will make v20 easier for people that couldn't handle it before. Go in, kill add, come back and kill the boss.

SE loves to force relevance of content, so I feel like it's pretty likely there will be something the Prime weapons do that help.

That's supposing the change they just implemented works for V20 as well and not just for V25.
Do we know by now?

That's fair, I just assumed since they didn't mention it was specific to 25 and instead broadly stated the add no longer respawns, but it's possible they left out that detail and it still repops at 20.

The B and C team setups for clears are going to have to be even more rock solid than ever. SE had a purpose behind the 3-run foray from the start, and we just got the easy end of the content within the first year. I talked ***like I always do about how it didn't make sense, but they gave us a 1 year headstart to get ready for the REAL challenge, And I'm here for it.

(btw, anyone who was struggling with V20 on a single clear shouldn't even consider V25s at this stage, and PUGs are likely left far out of scope of this event for now. It's going to be a PAIN for a PUG to find 6 people that have solid jobs to do 3 fights in one visit, not to mention the strain on segments)

There are two massive issues here, first is the 10s WS wall fundamentally killing most damage, second is that the add's and boss have mismatched damage weakness's and you can only use a job once without subjobs.

Tier 1 and 2 this is manageable, tier 3 this becomes stupid.

Lets take one of the easiest ones, Kalunga. You need to deal 25% of slashing damage to him before his add spawns, then you need to kill a T2 but with blunt damage, all with suboptimal buffs. Then get kicked out, reenter, deal another 25~35% slashing damage to 40%, spawn another add, kill that add with blunt damage all while Kalunga is getting regened almost to full and you have suboptimal buffs. Enter the third time with your real jobs and kill Kalunga with slashing damage but only 1 WS every 10s.

If that wasn't annoying enough, lets look at Ngai. Deal 25% of blunt damage for add to spawn, then deal 100% of the adds HP with .. magic damage. Go back in, deal another 25~35% in blunt damage, kill another add with magic damage, using different non-optional jobs. Then go in the final time with real jobs. Ongo becomes damn near impossible because there is only one way to reliably deal damage to him and you gotta save that for the third run.

SE didn't think thing through, BME Pain Olympics is putting this mildly. Or maybe they did and want us throwing ourselves at it for the next three to six months while they cook up something else.

can already see the worlds of people who thought they were tippity-top tier of the elite players, shattering before their very eyes, realizing that V25s might separate them from those who just plain otuclass them

who can say if things are overtuned; content's existed for like 8 hours. how does anyone figure it's more likely SE made an oopsie/oversight on the math rather than simply wanted the content to be really *** hard lol

Diabolos hurts ongo, on V20 we (somewhat unnecessarily) used 2 kis, using smn pld rdm nin drk whm to do first 25%, so strat would be do that, then take a piercing setup to kill first add, then do the standard ongo setup while ignoring the 2nd add. Its possible because the sortie ws wall doesn't really hurt ongo strat as much.
