They already do. Why do you think some people blatantly admit and talk about it? Those little comments and remarks let people know who to go to when they need such services.

Give it up. People who didn't make the effort to create a Stage 4 shield really don't care (which is the vast majority of the population). They'll give you some speech about how RMT keep the prices down so everyone can blah, blah, blah.

This is exactly why there are so many people with BiS gear (this and sparks farming/gil buying) and they can't even play their character(s) good enough to solo a T1 NM in Escha Zitah. It's the, "everyone gets a trophy" mentality, which is against the entire fabric of an MMO. They don't care.

Why would/should anyone care? Crafting in 11 is aids. If you have a problem with it, blame SE.

It is possible, I stumbled across it the other day. I'm not using personally, but you can force a break not to lose mats.

Unless you can determine if the result is a NQ vs HQ before forcing the break, it's worthless. Stop trying to feed the fire

always the same couple of suspects, if only SE grew a pair and handed a full round house of kreditcard and hardware bans every once in a while. but lets commence the shitshow.

"The Numbers just don't add up" thorny be like:

You can force a break and it doesn't say anything was lost in the chatlog but they do get lost. (force break is a critical break 100% loss)

If there's something more advanced that actually mitigates lost items we'd be right back where we were ~17 years ago with the exact same exploit.

battlemod tells you HQ NQ or break before it finishes. at which point you can force break, but all methods still lose items (that I know of) ((nothing would surprise me with packets however))

Not feeding anything; just stating what I observed. I was able to get break, but was not losing mats. I don't know the specifics as I didn't really care; just noting that it doesn't surprise me if this is indeed an issue.

I always thought battlemod told you what your results were the moment you hit enter? If you could find a way to force a break/interrupt without losing mats than you could definitely make this work.

Most of the websites list 1b at around 400. That's about .4 per mil, not .2. That means people like yourself listing a price like that confidently are probably more connected than the average passer by would think. You either are selling to distributors or are purchasing direct.

Is this more accidental packet sending?

You know how this ended last time!

Lol, It was an unintended consequence, but not what I was looking to do. I didn't fully investigate what was actually happening as it wasn't something I was attempting to do. If it was me, as we learned before, I would own up to it; being that it's been brought to light.

If it was you you'd share it with people until someone goes full retard with it haha

Nah, I'm just keeping to myself these days.

What really doesn't add up imop is the demand side of the RMT situation. Who the heck is buying FFXI Gil these days?

I've been selling Dynamis full clears for quite awhile now and I have had last minute buyers tell me that their ability to make the run depends on how fast their gil gets delivered. I imagine a sizable portion of the people buying are returnees and casual players looking to take a shortcut.

Some are, and some are like "I'll be able to make it if I can farm an extra 40 million gil in an hour," 30 minutes later: "Oh, just made it!"

Sorry but unlike you obviously, I find MMOs are more enjoyable when you actually benefit from your own efforts, as opposed to using real life money to buy in game currency to get everything you need(which to this day, blows my mind why anyone would do this, why play the game?).

If people want the easiest path to object A and don't like dealing with others to get into groups, learn their jobs and put forth some kind of actual effort to attain the items they want, they have games for those people. They are called RPGs and some of them are super fun. Go do that.

How do you keep "stumbling" across these nefarious game exploits? Do you literally spend most of your FFXI online time just writing scripting to try and cheat the game? Were you one of those kids who bragged about beating a game but used GameShark?

And yet no one cares. Seriously, no one cares. The game is out dated as hell, and is unlikely to get a full revamp to make it modernized like 14. It is not any more enjoyable if you remove all the RMT (hell, if you removed the RMT the game would probably die in a week and the econ would collapse in on itself in half that)
