Good Evening all:

Is there upgrades to the savage setup below? Full buffs dynamis targets is the usecase.

Personally I use Sailfi Belt+1 over Fotia.

And you should. Even before that the prosilo belt +1 would have been better.

And then the DI arrow I forget it’s name is the single most op item in the game and pairs perfect with SB. I honestly don’t know how SB RNG isn’t the most abused job in the game right now.

Maybe Scouts Gorget +1/2 for the pdl? I still havent tested that fully.

Don’t need to test. One gives a .1 increase to the ftp of the first hit of SB and the the other is a 10% increase to the pDif which for rng SB comes out to potentially .35 ( capped attack) which applies to all hits. Therefore the neck +2 is a clear winner.

Edit: Baby's first necro bump (*^o^)/

I've recently been building RNG again and was putting my SB set together (sans K club as of this post). I updated my local sim tool of Izanami's to include Ridill to compare to Blurred +1 OH.

==============================================================
Best "Time to WS" "Melee TP set" set
==============================================================
main Naegling
sub Blurred Knife +1
ranged Accipiter
ammo Hauksbok Arrow
head Malignance Chapeau
neck Iskur Gorget
ear1 Dedition Earring
ear2 Sherida Earring
body Malignance Tabard
hands Malignance Gloves
ring1 Lehko Habhoka's ring
ring2 Epona's Ring
back Null Shawl
waist Windbuffet Belt +1
legs Malignance Tights
feet Malignance Boots

Avg WS Time = 4.584s
Avg TP per round = 405.5 TP
==============================================================

==============================================================
Best "Time to WS" "Melee TP set" set
==============================================================
main Naegling
sub Ridill

back Null Shawl
waist Windbuffet Belt +1
legs Malignance Tights
feet Malignance Boots

Avg WS Time = 4.409s
Avg TP per round = 467.8 TP
==============================================================
Given the difference in OAX %s between these two, this was what I expected.

The DPS
Blurred +1 OH:
=========================
Total time: 2.0 h
Time/Attack: 1.430 s
Average Dmg/Attack: 1722.4
Physical: 1722.4 (100.0%)
Magical: 0.0 ( 0.0%)
Average Dmg/WS: 75971.5
Average TP/WS: 1553 TP (+1450 TP Bonus)
Total Damage: 95.1M damage (Total DPS: 13203.8)
TP Damage: 5.8M damage (TP DPS: 811.5; 6.1%)
WS Damage: 89.3M damage (WS DPS: 12392.2; 93.9%)
=========================

Ridill OH:
=========================
Total time: 2.0 h
Time/Attack: 1.587 s
Average Dmg/Attack: 1368.8
Physical: 1368.8 (100.0%)
Magical: 0.0 ( 0.0%)
Average Dmg/WS: 75773.9
Average TP/WS: 1589 TP (+1450 TP Bonus)
Total Damage: 92.8M damage (Total DPS: 12883.4)
TP Damage: 4.2M damage (TP DPS: 582.6; 4.5%)
WS Damage: 88.6M damage (WS DPS: 12300.8; 95.5%)
=========================

Ridill does win the race to WS, but, given Blurred's more than twice base damage and significantly less delay, puts the whole package a little over 300 DPS on top, which I did not expect.

don't forget to factor blurred knife is gonna land more hits on average due to ilvl stats not the biggest deal but probably worth considering

Probably true, but if people are using K club for this set, there's no material difference in accuracy between that and Ridill other than skill, and RNG has E in club and D and sword, so assuming buffs are the same, shouldn't be an issue.

no but that is likely a factor on the better dps rate with the blurred knife that was my thought anyway
still nice to see options that are reasonable you know
when measured against ridill

does make one wonder though considering the job spread on the blurred (mainly for cor and rng who both have what b,b-) and relatively cheap cost once you have the job points to equip blurred might be the best option for a progression piece in the offhand if thoughts on that clint

My COR alt uses blurred OH and is usually 2nd on parse for Savage spam, so it's definitely strong.

Random question as a follow up Clint at this point is it still worth keeping two malevolence daggers for a truflight focused shooting only set

I never went the malevolence route personally. Naegling/gleti gives more macc and more mdmg, and means you can melee for tp. Or perun/naegling for shooting.

Need to factor in resist rate not just pure dmg.

Because they're an absolute pain in the *** to get

I would send them to a mule instead of tossing at the very least.

It gives more Magic Accuracy, but not more MDMG. Malevolence x2 is 236 MDMG, because Gleti's Knife gives none. Now, I don't think Magic Damage is a potent stat for Trueflight anyways. The Magic Accuracy argument is valid.

RNG is on Tauret also, and it gives the same magic accuracy skill as Naegling and opens up Aeolian Edge. I'd imagine if he were DWing Malevolence it would be for TF or AE anyways, so a good middle ground pairing would be Tauret/Malevolence. You get the main hand magic accuracy skill from Tauret (this is the only one factored into the equation) and the huge MAB from Malevolence.

I'd keep at least one Malevolence for TF/AE shenanignas in the offhand.

Correct, I thought you could
The flags on the wiki made me think you could too, then I read further:

Agree with Buukki on this. I'd never let go of a perfect or near-perfect Malevolence. I don't tend to worry about macc because I roll with a full ensemble of support and just change rolls/bubbles as needed to get the desired result while typically gearing for maximum damage output.

If you're solo/trusting it, the macc concerns are valid and worth considering. I know on my old account, I would Mal/Kclub for TF spam, but hard to say if I'm getting anything out of that when you're just spamming capped damage anyway. I don't have the gear to test that anymore (Gastra will be the first mythic on this account).

I can't say I'd ever double Malevolence anymore though. Just feels like you're sacrificing too many other stats for the MAB with all the great choices out there.

Edit: MAYBE AE spam.

I use tauret/k club or tauret/malev but damage cap is pretty much always the limitation even in limbus.
