Every job has some throw-away pieces for AF1, 2 and 3 (except of course, if they benefit from the set bonuses).

Which PUP AF pieces do I absolutely need from AF1, AF2 and AF3? (I'm trying to see how many omen cards I should farm for PUP this month, as well as set aside some reserves for Relic reforged and empy armor).

AF wise feet should be your primary priority, if you care to after hands add more +stat on maneuver, im not sure where body stands with new h2h ws changes.

Relic is body if you want a good pet or hybrid TP piece, legs/feet for nuking, head for pet idle, hands is the same grey area as af body, not sure.

Just about all of emp+1 is useful, head for pet tp bonus, body for maneuvers, hands/legs for most puppet ws, and feet for tactical switch.

Depends on what you plan to use pup for but definately get af+3 feet/atleast af+1 hands and relic body/emp body if nothing else

Thank you for your reply! I don't plan to nuke on pup ever...and I will mostly be pup-tanking (have attachments and everything set) and once in a while, DD automaton.

I know all 3 bodies are used.

AF tank

Relic DD/one hour

Empy overload reduction

Theres also a piece that augments repair, and i forget which piece that is.

Other than that; empy head and hands i think are for sharpshot frame, if you make an auto WS set.

Tank wise you can consider af legs, forgot them since ambu legs basically covered me but they are higher dt. Dd auto youll want the relic body/emp head/hands/legs

This ^^

- Relic Body is essential for Overdrive duration (though you don't need +3 for that), and a fabulous pet DD or hybrid master/pet DD piece.
- AF hands/Empy body for manuevers
- AF feet for repair

Other stuff is more niche:

- AF body/Relic hands: WSD pieces, but PUP's main WS aren't single hit WSD-oriented weapon skills. Still solid acc/atk/STR though, so they're good for Stringing Pummel, Victory Smite, Howling Fist even if not BiS
- Relic legs/feet are pet nuking pieces
- Empy head for pet TP bonus (pet only fights)

AF+3 legs are fine, I guess. They just aren't particularly necessary, since there are other tanking legs options in Rao/+1, Taeon, Tali'ah +2, and you can pretty easily cap pet DT- using any of those. Plus, Rao/Taeon have other tanking perks in HP for Rao, or whatever else you stick on Taeon (DA/Acc&Atk, or Meva/Regen are both good).

If you're swimming in PUP cards, sure? They're probably the 4th best piece in the AF+3 set though, so if you're prioritizing... +3 hands get a bump in attribute per maneuver, feet remove an additional debuff, body is a good Acc/Atk/STR/WSD piece.
