Less flippantly, most forum readers really do come here for XI specific information and discussion. I'm happy for the off-topic discussion to happen, since that's what makes this something more than a subreddit, but keeping things in their own sections means everyone ends up happy. XI-focused people get just what they want, and people who want the broader range of topics get that too.
