I think they had a few maints on Silver Sea Remnants today. Could be linked to that. It's outside of my grasp if just bringing down the server was necessary.
THey did a maintenance early sunday morning on salvage area too.
Surprising to me they work on Sunday too. TWO zone maints and a full maint. Jesus. And the day before real maint?

It’s important to note that while these job points bots are botting, their masters are off on the side grooming new bots to store in reserve. I'd imagine all the bots got booted after the emergency maintenance and haven't all logged back in yet.

SE is like Activision when it comes to cheating, STF is a joke. Yeah, we've talked about this quite a few times already. SE won't kill their little nest egg. That'll squash what remaining player base is left.
Add that to the fact that we live in a society where many people have a "I need it now!" mentality - something I am entirely guilty of / consciously know that I'm suffering from - and people may say *** it and not stay to master their jobs. there are ways to enforce the rules with no or minimal sub loss. anounce it upfront that you specifically don't tolerate that activity. hand temp bans if ppl keep joining bot parties. the few that still wouldn't get the message will not cause FFXI to file bankruptcy.
but i doubt they'd all of a sudden pull a emergency maintenance for stuff they've been tolerating for years. nothing there that a good 4 quadrant scaling/root planing can't fix. Just looks like they haven't been to the dentist in 10+ years with all that calculus
