BRD Gearswap

Anyone have an updated gearswap that uses Stage 4 Prime Horn? I use Selindrele gs.

I don't use lua, but from a theoretical standpoint I'm having a hard time figuring out how you would use stage 4 (other than how you use stage 3, to cast Aria) in a lua.

I think technically it is a bit faster to cast your third "dummy" song using Loughnashade, to make it more potent than using Daurdabla, but you still need a dummy toggle for Daurdabla and I think having 2 different toggles or a dummy mode would be more trouble than it's worth.

I would just cast Aria as your third song (fourth with CC up) and it will resolve itself without the need for a specialized lua. If your scenario doesn't call for Aria then I guess you're gonna need something pretty custom. I doubt many people care to customize their toggles that much for 5 seconds of a single slightly more powerful non-Aria dummy though, TBH. Especially since this really only matters when casting fresh songs.

HM -> aria -> dummy song (s)-> overwrite dummy (usually minuetx2) in this order, so you fully singed in 6 songs (8 w SV) then can do you pianissimo (s). Bard is easy, buff once every 11 minutes then pretend to DD

Or, as I was saying above, if you have stage 4 horn...

HM -> Minuet -> Aria -> Dummy Minuet -> Real Minuet, 5 songs instead of 6. With CC (not SV) you cast 7 instead of 8.

Question on the above implementation of Aria of Passion.

I recently obtained the Sortie only version for my Alt and did manage to get Aria of Passion in his 4 song rotation. Using Mote / Arislans brd lua btw.

but I can't figure out why the duration even under Nitro stays just under 10 minutes. (I confirmed with showswaps that the song midcast is equipping the song duration gear)

Is the limited duration the result of the low song potency (+5) and will it improve with the stage 4 and 5 versions of the prime?

Yes. Nothing can be done until stage 4.

I managed to put Aria last in line in my 4 and 5th song setup, that just gives me about 30 seconds to re-sing when Nitro is available again. Now to make sure the dummy song is a short one so it actually gets overwritten by Aria!

This is what most of the BRDs do with a Stage 3, they sing it first/with the group to refresh the duration (to not lose the 5th), and then last to get max duration right before running in.

There isn't quite *nothing* that can be done, but close.

It gets a bit longer with Marcato (20 seconds) and Clarion Call (40 seconds). You won't always have CC, of course, but you can (if you want) use Marcato on Aria and it will get longer.

These bonuses are also doubled by Troubador.

You can also use Tenuto but it is a MASSIVE pain in the *** so I don't recommend it (also the bonus duration doesn't apply to party members).
