EA Origins shut down in 2020
(They do have EA App, and it must be so widely popular that they still need to sell their games on Epic and Steam, effectively losing money per sale)
Anyways, see you in three months for that shareholder report.

Wasn't it Origin?

/shrug. So I forgot it closed down? Don't worry, you are still the biggest idiot on the website by a huge margin. Unless RA comes back, your title is secure. But hey, you got that useless screenshot, along with your useless steam numbers, and your Chinese idol.

Can't remember. I think I only used it for Dragon Age 2. And wow did I hate it.

Ok, no twitter links
https://store.playstation.com/en-us/pages/latest
If were to presume this is in order of sales numbers, and I'll believe it is because CoD is first in both:
Top 10 games in your country: 5th (may be different for USA)
New games: 2nd
Essential games (these look to be older ones, and Astro Based): not listed
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/collection/top-sellers
4th on Epic store
EA doesnt have a "best sellers" feature on their online store.
https://www.ea.com/games/library/pc-download
However it failed to make their featured PC games list.
https://www.xbox.com/en-ca/games?xr=shellnav
I dont see Veilguard in their best sellers list
Anyways, we all know playercount doesnt actually matter, because Veilguard is "shattering steam records" in regards to player count.

So, was there a reason you posted all that stuff? To prove me right? Appreciate it. Enjoy your copium, dumbass. To go back to what I originally, and accurately, said. I'm glad to see Dragon Age doing well. The white rage is hilarious. Bioware baited them so well. Just look at Nynja.

See you in three months with those shareholder reports :)
but twitter said it, how can I ignore it? I'm not sure what this is referencing. The only things I linked from twitter was
A-photos and videos showing the unrealistic slider's within the game. If you're willing to suggest thats fake, the game has no DRM, you can download a copy and rip through the character creation screen and show that the linked videos are digitally altered, you can make a busty character with a thick booty.
B-someone talking about how great Veilguard is doing and then following up with "this game actually sucks I just like seeing the chuds get owned"
just that you seem to enjoy using tweets to make your arguments for you. I don't use social media at all so it's fascinating to me more than anything. I can't imagine each one is an authority on whatever, more that if you go looking for trouble you're gonna find it kind of thing.
Back to games. Of the most recent releases I've paid attention to, Veilguard loses to MonHun for me. Might actually finally play a MonHun game with this one, it looks really fun even though the length of the fights is a bit more than I'd like,

Maybe you should click them so you can see whats being linked instead of just making assumptions of what it is, which you very clearly are by the assertion that I'm linking to some datapoint from "an authority on whatever".
95% of the time its linking to a video or image that is referencing what I'm trying to say, as I have no idea how to embed videos from twitter quickly (key word being quickly). 4% of the time its for the content of the post (ie: jason schrier's self-own"). The other 1% of the time is just for the very rare instance it doesnt fit either of the above two categories.

Not interested enough in clicking the links, because I simply don't care enough about some stranger's take on something I'm only moderately interested in myself. I will readily concede that I do as a result make assumptions based on context in this thread.
Based on the media I do consume, I don't see Veilguard as a failure. It's not a great game, but people are talking about it and playing it. That's as far as it goes for me. The everything else being discussed it what fascinates me, because I legit don't get it.

I stopped reading just the same way you arent reading.
Its no ones take, its no ones opinion, its video proof backing up what I'm saying. When I link a tweet in the discussion over the character creator, I'm not linking it for someones opinion. I have my own opinion. I need the video showing the unrealistic limitations of the character creator.

The only people who were using it to fight a "western political war" were the game journalists who sent out hit piece after hit piece regarding the game and the studio, then proceeded to screech at the top of their lungs that they failed in their crusade to ruin the game. Cope and seethe.
Just fyi, the first group of people who started crusade against Game Science are Chinese feminist on the internet because Game Science posted an inappropriate HR ad with sex jokes.
Ign didn't start the crusade, they only parroted what Chinese feminist said.
And even if you view IGN as bad because of that, why attack Bioware too? Bioware didn't attack Game Science, IGN did. Go attack IGN, not Bioware.
I feel the whole thing is now like some kind of mafia. It's left wing v.s anti-left wing, us v.s they. If one particular group in left wing group said something you don't like (like IGN), everyone else in the same group (like Bioware) becomes the target too, even if they didn't say anything offensive.
It's dumb.

The internet hate on DAV is blown out of proportion, IMO. The director is a transwoman who put transgender as an option for player character, and a cutscene with pronoun. Then internet is somehow very offended because of that. Even though I haven't heard of the game content has anything offensive.
Also Bioware uses different art and story direction that is more "Disney like" than before, And that somehow angered people too.
I just don't understand. What's wrong with transgender in games(since it is an option)and Disney style story and art? 90% of negative reviews on steam are attack these things which has nothing to do with game quality at all.
Which is annoying as a review reader who just want to look for review information on actual gameplay quality.

What's wrong with transgender in games No one cares until it becomes "force the square peg in the round hole" and starts taking away from the game itself. There are multiple long cutscenes about coming out as non-binary and why misgendering is bad you're a piece of ***who should suffer if you do it.
You can have a gay relationship in 2077. Guess what, no one cares.
Juniper in Xenoblade is non-binary. No one cares.
Mass Effect has had gay and bi and les characters since its first release. No one cares because it wasnt shouted you through a megaphone and you werent constantly reminded every second.
Dion/Bahamut in XVI is gay. No one cares, it was portrayed in his character perfectly.

Who is the target audience?
The main target audience of Wukong is probably:
1) players that are into boss battle focused arpg
2) players that are into really good graphics
3) Chinese and overseas Chinese that are looking for opportunity to promote and support Chinese culture returning to its glorious form.
The last group alone makes the Wukong target audience size much, much bigger than other games. It isn't fair to compare most games with Wukong because they don't get such advantage.

This logic is absurd. Disney style is just a style. Styles aren't inherently bad. It's not a "downgrade", it's just "different direction".
Saying "different direction" = "downgrade" = "DEI hire" is logical fallacy.
There are multiple long cutscenes about coming out as non-binary and why misgendering is bad you're a piece of ***who should suffer if you do it.
Afaik It's just a scene describing what happened in the story. You irl aren't suffering from anything. It's just a in-game character choosing to do push-ups for apologize lol. I thought it's actually kind of funny way to apologize.
If in another story one NPC said "*** you" to another NPC, then later on they apologize because they realized saying "*** you" is rude, will this scene offend you?
If you aren't mad at example above why are you mad at in-game character apologize for misgenderig people? Why is it okay to apologize for saying "*** you" in a scene but not okay to apologize for misgenderig people?
The game didn't force you irl to apologize for anything. It is an in-game character choosing to do this for their personal reasons. And that offended you somehow?
What's the point to get angry at this? I don't understand.
As far as "bad" things goes in games, in many games we can kill innocent NPC and people don't bat an eye for such terrible deed. But NPC apologize misgenderig another NPC in a game is somehow worse deed than killing people like a cardinal sin or something. The hate is insane.

No one cares? More like no one attacked it back then because when those games were released it wasn't close to 2024 US election.
There is an obvious increase of certain political keywords 3-4 months before the US election. "Woke game" being one of them.
It's obvious that certain political factions are pushing these attacks during this timeframe for their political gains. Resulting increased traffic.
Trust me, if all of those gay games are released recently they'll probably get as much hate from anti-left factions. They'll just look for excuses to bash those games.
The reason to hate a thing on the internet can be manufactured with large amount of posts. If large enough of such posts are on the internet then it is enough to make it feel real, even if it's just feels.

Heres the thing dumdum: Until we get actual sales numbers (not rankings), which we dont have yet, player counts are the best estimate to work with in regards to sales. Most people dont buy a brand new game just to shelf it for months.
This is objectively false though, the most reliable way to estimate sales has always been review number after 1 month, 3 months and 6 months. After 1 year the sales will slow down and dev started deeper discounts.
Steam peak player count is a terrible metric to estimate sales. Realistically it is near impossible to get an accurate estimate from those numbers.
Case to the point, resident evil 7's steam peak player count is only 20449. But it sold 4m units 2 months after release and total sale is 13m now.
By the same logic any game(like DAV) with 3 times more peak player count that RE7 will sell 12m in 2 months and 39m in 8 years, because 4x3=12? I don't think that will happen to any DA with or without woke. None of the DA in the past has this kind of numbers.
Hell, even review number isn't all that accurate either. For example I've heard a game with 2k reviews sold 400,000 copies too. But at least as a metric it's not as terrible as peak player count.
For a DA game, I think the more realistic sales estimate is 1-3m within 1 year.

Sorry not having time to give attention to you nerds.
This weekend i decided to replay Palworld and, while at that, try the new expansions introduced mid year.
For that, i eestarted brand new, not continuing my previous progress because, in the end, this type of game is one of my favorite types ever.
Maybe i restarted 5 times already, and i always snjoyed every bit untill the point where the natural path is breeding to get superior pals.
Maybe that game of RNG is surely the worst this game can offer.
But the changes made are fun. And in theory we are still at version 0.x.x.
That means i will have another chance to redo all of that in the future.
New games are fun

Making stuff up to justify your endless conspiracies isn't going to work. For like the millionth time, Steam player count has never been a metric for sales. Especially for a multiplatform, offline, single player game. It's at least good to see you are slowly coming to grips with this. Keep holding out hope though. Its free entertainment for the rest of us.

I'm not entirely sure recruiting imaginary folks helps to make your point. Who exactly is 'the rest of us' in this argument?
Steam player count may not be a metric for sales, but it's a pretty good metric for how much people are enjoying the game. Certainly a benefit to the company to sell a bunch of copies to activists and collectors, but it's still bad for gaming if the game isn't good enough to actually play.
So... I have been increasingly frustrated with new games over years. I feel like so much effort it placed on graphics, lighting, art style, ect and maybe 10% of that effort is placed into gameplay, controls, and story.
My latest purchase was Visions of Mana, which I was pretty excited for. Secret of Mana is in my top 5 all time, I've played Seiken Densetsu 3 translated and while I didn't think it was as good as Secret of Mana, it was still extremely enjoyable. I skipped Trials of Mana since I had already played Seiken Densetsu 3. Vision is just bad. The english voice acting was awful, the characters were bland/generic or just stupid, and I was 3hrs into the game and all I was doing to running 30seconds between CS. Felt like a slightly interactive shitty anime.
Hogwarts Legacy, Visions of Mana, Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield... I felt like all of these super hyped games were absolute duds. Final Fantasy 16 is coming to PC in a few weeks and I'm not sure if I even want to try it anymore. I've heard people say not great things about it.
I know I'm just venting a bit here, but it really sucks being excited for a new game and then the crushing disappointment when it's not fun.
