The only non engrish translated is the 7th expansion which is very new like 2 months ago and only part 1 was translated frol what. I know and the second part is a week old

DQX offline was already released. It covers the base game and the first expansion (added later), at which point you have the option to transfer your character to the MMO for the rest if you want. The offline version covers the same story as the base game and first expansion though it obviously doesn't play the same. Also, it has voice acting, while the MMO only has voice acting starting with V5.

Ok, you got me motivated to pick up the DW series afterI finish the Ys1 i have ongoing.

I think I played DW3,4,5 and 9. Maybe 6 next

8 is one of the best

Ah. right, I actually played the 8, then started the 9 on my DS but I dropped it kinda early.

I remember when I started playing DW7, I dropped before even the first battle, because I was prejudiced against the protagonist being a fisherman.

Maybe I was too childish at that time, I was expecting to be a super knight or mercenary, and not a measly fisherman.

Funny though, I think not long later I played Chrono Cross where the protagonist was also a fisherman. But differently of the DW7, despite Serge being a fisherman, he was wielding a dual blade. Like, why not.

Anyway, I think I can play DW either on steam switch or emulation, I wonder what of those options has fast forward. Because, no way I will play a classic turn based combat with random encounter without playing at 2x~4x speed.

You still need a Japanese Square Enix ID, and also must use a different email and User ID. Just take a few extra steps to work out. I'll try it other day.

Will definitely check this out. I always wanted to try it but I thought it was impossible for anyone outside of Japan to play. SE kept saying they had plans to bring it to the west, but that never happened.

when i bought the new expansion the amazonjp found out about my address so there was no Downloads link but thankfully ppl in discord have the link to Version 1-7 executable if u buy the expansions.

Anyway the game is really Chill and recently now instead of 2 International discords there is now actually 5 all over 1000
members lol

I am level 45 so far. Metal slimes frequently spawn near any starting village during the raining time I think (correct me if I'm wrong).

Edit: They frequently spawn during the event's period of time. See the npc for info.

Like FFXIV, some side quests require you to type in Japanese in /say. I looked up send_to_chat, Japanese IME, and Locale Emulator. Still not able to make it work. -__-;

Also the Metal slime Event can be random from what i know u get a message ingame top right

USe them to level jobs so u can have their bonuses on ur main kinda like sub job but u can use all of them for 1 job passive hp mp etc

Final boss of version 3 was amazing it was VERY CINEMATIC
He would SLAM THE ARENA AND THE WEATHER WOULD CHANGE AND I WOULD GET AOE DAMAGE FROM FROST TO FIRE TO W/E depending on his SLAM it WAS INSAAAAAAAAAANE
