I'm curious if I'm missing something but I've done a couple ambus where the bard gives us nitro buffs and every song shows 12min.
When I do nitro songs all show 11min except honor march will show 12min.
This is what I use for song duration+ then of course the + skill gear like minuet + and whatnot. I'm ML 40 if that matters.

If you don't mind missing out on support spells, there's always going /nin or /dnc and offhanding Kali for the extra 5% bump.

Did the bard gave you 5 songs in those couple ambus? Clarion Call increase songs duration by another 40 seconds.
I don't think you can get 6 mins songs before NiTro otherwise (to make it 12+ mins with Nitro) as that would mean you can get 5 mins + songs (10 mins with NiTro) without Carnwenhan rendering Carn a lot less desirable as its would no longer be needed for NiTro to NiTro casting cycle.

Can't remember but maybe they did do 5 songs. Like I'm happy with my 11min + songs as it gives me a nice buffer to keep nitro going so I can also dd. Was mostly making sure I wasn't missing out on something. Thanks for the responses
Are you looking at the "timers" addon or the status icon timers? the timers addon needs updated and won't match.

I'm going off ffxi timers under the songs. mine go to 11min but I've seen others say 12min during the nitro songs.

It would still be desired for debuff duration. Lots of end game fights benefit a lot for nitro+SV debuff/s staying on as long as possible. Especially threnodies. Also singing buffs every 12+ minutes would still be way better than every 10min :)

[471 days between previous and next post]New~ish BRD, here. Please *** my Song Duration set, and let me know where I need to make duration adjustments. My math is indicating +171% increase from gear (about 11mm25sec songs with NiTro up).

I would put DT in those slots instead. It's piss easy to cap skill for potency and there's no macc check on buffs. Also make sure your lua (I presume) has special cases for all the songs with other relevant gear like: Mambo, Minne, Scherzo, Carol, Ballad (if you want), Etude. he was probably using Clarion Call + using Kali in the offhand that gives +5% song duration

Belt). Macc does not help on buffs but it does help on debuffs on mobs. So, you absolutely should have separate sets if you do not already. But just in case it needs to be stated, NO, macc does not help when casting a buff on a player, they won't resist it.
