I just returned after 12 years. But seems like this forum is dead for this server. Anyone still around? I don't remember anything. But glad my character was still available to resurrect. Looks like I have 99 - DNC SAM THF NIN and some lower things. I Have a 90 Twashtar and a 85 Masamune. Im going to start BRD and switch from Bastok rank 10 to Sandy rank 0. Im excited to be back. Ive been reading a lot but honestly just don't know what to do. Feel free to hit me up or let me know if this server is dead and I need to move.

PS I raised a very good black Chocobo and have the card to give I think for anyone else. I think with mounts that is dead but maybe the races are still fun? lol. Hit me up.

Forewarning, a lot of people on the forums are jaded and grumpy. And that's after they had their snack and nap.

As far as Pheonix, it's typical small server with a heavy JP population. LS are where all the chat is. On the plus side, you can get Sisyphus regularly and our AH is decent for stock/price of normally desired gear. On the negative, I think all the instance servers are linked so it doesn't offer any advantage for end game.

We'll see how Besieged works. Hard to say if server size is going to affect it. It won't surprise anyone if Asura tells of their woes for the first 2 months before they implement a fix for them.

Does anyone know if the larger servers still have long waits for odyssey and sortie?

Not really, no. They went overboard on sortie with 3 instanced zones so never a wait there. Maybe a small wait for ody at peak times but otherwise instant. Ambu is the only thing that really gets congested these days, and only during popular months.

I love Fenrir and it is about the same size as Phoenix, still have friends around to talk with but plenty of freedom to do whatever without worrying about stepping on someone's shoes.

And I love it, but I would say if you dont have friends still on the server it could be a bit slow or lacking engagement, I wouldnt move to Asura, but the #2 and #3 servers are still a step up from Phoenix population wise.
