It's not possible to make new char out of purely being bored? Not sure about you circles but most people I know are bored out of their minds and the only option left is gear a new char.and at this point you def want to skip cs's.

You are half right. Yes, there is a SETTING you can hit to prompt to skip CSs you have already seen. However at any point during a CS, even ones you have NOT seen, you can hit escape and get a prompt to skip it. I know, I have on many irrelevant quests.

I included a revamp of Pankration. I advocated for SE to do away with the “Once a Day” system they presently have in place on the game’s hottest content. I’m fairly certain I’m not alone in saying that I don’t have the time to get online every day and when I do get online I want my time spent to be meaningful. So having the system removed completely or allow us to stockpile multiple tags throughout the week would be ideal.
A lot of us are “Weekenders” let us Please let us Weekend in peace.
I also said that an increase to point rates of Gaol, Sortie and Exemplary would be very appreciated so even if that only comes in the form of monthly campaigns.
As of this current moment, FFXI simply does not respect the players’ time so making some tweaks there would be nice imo.
I also checked the boxes of New Content and Job Balancing because it’s always nice when they add new stuff. This game has a lot of potential if they decided to throw actual resources I think? Or maybe that’s just nostalgia talking, idk.

I focused mainly on a job adjustments and battle content as those were the two things I would like to see in the future.
In summary, NIN,BST,SMN,and SCH for some job adjustments. I am sure everyone has their own view and opinions for job adjustments so I wont go on in specific about my own. But major adjustments for NIN, lesser adjustments for BST and SMN but would have a major impact on group play and party flexibility, even less adjustments for SCH.
As far as battle content and being realistic with the resources available we will never see actual NEW content persay So with that said, I would like to see an increased difficulty for Dynamis Divergence using existing old dynamis zones as they did for the 4 major cities. Give me Dynamis-Divergence Xarcabard, Beaucedine, Dreamlands etc that are more challenging than their city counterparts. Rewards could be JSE accessories like rings, earrings, ammo slots, waists, backs and even job specific spells perhaps etc etc, as to not take away the need to still do the other zones for relic armor upgrades but also providing "new" old content using existing zones as they always have for years and years and years now. GIVE ME ilvl 150+++ Arch Dynalord!!! I want bodies everywhere alllll the time lol

If you asked me what happened in TVR I honestly couldn't tell you other than it had something to do with an egg and Odin. Not all of them are equally worthy of my attention. Basically what happened in TVR is that Matsui got greenlit to do another narrative, and had to scramble to make something that was moderately worthwhile.
i.e. A story that revolved around a lot of side characters/content/one off mentions of world building setpieces.
The actual overarching narrative of TVR though is very very basic. Like Shining Force 1 levels of basic.
There was once an uber powerful extra dimensional beast, Chaos, that it took a huge alliance of all the races including Beastmen alongside Odin to defeat. It laid a buncha eggs that all have the potential to regrow into the same entity, because it's actually like an extra dimensional god beast more or less.
These eggs wound up in a lot of different places, and some of them hatched prematurely, and so there's some confusion on just what Chaos is and what the eggs will hatch into. This is an attempt to bind disparate lore threads together.
In the current day, the eggs have finally germinated enough to hatch, and the Maelstrom Mage and his lackey want to consume their power to take over Valhalla, because for some reason Maelstrom Mage went there when he died, instead of returning to The Crystal. Of course, such power isn't easy to just take, and you need to be absurdly strong to withstand taking the power into yourself/absurdly strong to even crack the egg open to get the power out.
But the TL;DR is basically: Ancient Sorcerer wants to use Super Powerful Ancient Dragon/Monster to wreak havoc on the world, and the only way he/it can be stopped is by an uber powerful warrior with a special sword and God on his side.
I mean, there's some liberties here, cause it's a demon sword and a dark god, but you know, light or dark doesn't matter. It's how you use them etc.

You guys really need to temper your expectations here. I assume you are all talking about your answers for question #20. You need to realize the parts they actually care about are questions #1-19. It is very likely they won't even read our responses. The Japanese ones maybe, but there is no way in hell they are paying a translator to translate a screed about why Pankration needs adjustments.

I said something similar, but northland [d] allowing relic +4 armor. This may lead to artifact +4 etc etc...
Also added they need to downgrade all stats to allow more room for growth. Specifically, that if my ws does 90k damage on an NM for .8% of its hp, stats should be adjusted so that my ws now does 22k but still for .8% of its hp. This would allow for stats to continue to grow with new items and new hnms, otherwise we'll all eventually just 99k all day.

I mentioned that I'd appreciate it if velocity shot allowed you to move directly after WS so that cheaters wouldn't have an obvious advantage on RNG.
I'd also appreciate if they would rearrange the Bunzi's armor into something that is less of a mismatched mess. What's the point of 8PDL and 5 dex on the body when you'll never pick it over nyame, so it can hang out with 15 cure potency that doesn't need to be in that slot either? Why aren't all the SMN bits put together so you can at least get 1 good piece? 10 fast cast with store tp and quad attack. 8 double attack with magic burst II and some mnd. Every other t3 armor set is much more focused and organized compared to bunzi.
If we get any new ilvl battle content next year that isn't just part of besieged, I'll be happy.

Just realized I didn’t comment about improving status down effects from blu, weapon skills; these need an update to bring them into relevance again if possible. Someone comment it!

Also viable. Most terms cap at 40 or 50. I wouldn't hate it so long as WSD from traits and gifts are WSD II. DRKs probably would but they also have the most PDL too so it's kind like meh.
Full set of Nyame maxed is 58 for quick reference. If your Empy WSD piece is head or feet, which most are, then 59.

Most terms cap at 40 or 50. I wouldn't hate it so long as WSD from traits and gifts are WSD II. DRKs probably would but they also have the most PDL too so it's kind like meh. Hard to tell, since theres no precedence to work with.
For starters
The WSD traits apply to all hits, so they're clearly different from equipment WSD.
As far as existing traits that can be further enhanced by gear:
Magic Burst Bonus does bypass the 40% cap
PDL has no known cap (you know what I mean, the cap of the cap!).
Fast Cast wont bypass the 80% cap.
Crit hit Damage wont bypass the 100% cap.
Snapshot wont bypass the 70% cap.
Any other traits I overlooked?

For me, I put in a few bits about more empy items etc in login campaigns. They could be more frequent.
Option to use sortie materials to upgrade to the next one up, which would give people who aren't in statics a change to progress, even if it took longer.
New campaigns for extra tokens/ichor would be a nice thing. As would perhaps changing some of the requirement to do all 50 assaults without ASE to perhaps speed up the process.

Job balance adjustments.
There are many spells and abilities that suffer from poor scaling, awkward cooldown or duration. I'd be more than satisfied if they addressed that alone, but I really want them to pick up where they left off. Majesty is pretty clutch for PLD and the adjustments to MNK pulled it out of obscurity. More of that.

I'd love to see BLU get some blue magic duration gear. I guess that would work for both buffs and debuffs. Nowadays powerful buffs from BRD and COR last 10+ min, and 20-30min for SCH and RDM, and BLU be casting Cocoon for 90sec, or most buffs 5min or less
Also, the magic damage wall needs to go. Or at the very least, it needs to be removed during a magic burst window. Isn't the entire point of magic bursts to fit in nukes during that window? And we're penalized for doing exactly that past the first nuke. One of the first things anyone mentions about the FFXI combat system is SC's and MBs.
The damage cap at 99,999 should be lifted as well, it feels unsatisfying hitting for 99k and being limited by game code instead of actual combat stats

Essentially what I asked for - a new WS QOL pass that adjusts FTP, ratios and stats for all WS based on current content and player levels. There is no reason why there are so many awful WS in the current era which really limits party and weapon choices. Prime weapons have certainly helped, but they are not readily available for all players.
This would also have the side-effect of giving players more content to do without actually adding any as people would need to obtain gear / make sets for different "new" / different WS.
Hell, make the Mog Bonanza WS unlockable too. More options is always better.

The point of skillchains is to get us to play with each other and the reward is free damage and to open up a window that magic is more accurate or does more damage. You already get the bonus damage for magic bursting. The penalty is so that you don't abuse it like we do with everything.
There are plenty of poorly balanced games out there to play. SC, MB, and a somewhat balanced job system is why everyone is here. Ask for more ways to lower the penalty for nuke wall other than rayke and tomahawk instead of trying to unbalance the game.

Joking aside, this is kinda what EQ2 did with RMT. They made two servers that had a real money AH you can buy/sell stuff on, you could transfer to it but not off of it. If you got busted for RMT on another server they moved you there.
It was a flop like you'd expect but kinda funny.

there's a list of things I suggested- as others have also said:
making abyssea drops as part of the monthly login campaign maybe 3-4 times a year
finding a way to consolidate the teleportation system since there's over a dozen different ways to get around
expanding on the merit system to allow players to max out group 1 and 2 job merits
making the sortie roe objectives monthly rather than 1 time
giving some kind of roe objective that rewards EP in dynamis to offset the ep loss on death, or removing the penalty all together, or adding items that drop in dyna that give back some Ep like they did in the old dyna zones
making a trade in system for sortie earrings, either to trade in 8 of the same base earring to get a +1 and 8 +1's to get a +2 or being able to trade them and other sortie items back to the goblin for muffins or making a system where trading duplicate earrings enhances the stats of the first you trade.
finding a better way to utilize outdated currencies like conquest points.
fixing some menus like for sinister reign so you can purchase a new KI after collecting your reward instead of exiting the dialog and having to ask for it separately.
a "buy all" option for escha temp items
a storage slip to hold storage slips or some kind of npc to hold storage slips
there are some others that I'm forgetting, I had a fairly expansive list
