'Bout; Slightly less worse each time
By zsky 2026-03-21 18:17:55
Yep, I tested this by logging into a mule that wasnt online for Day 0 objectives...
it has the next day objectives, Gathering Storm, Gourmet, etc
Gotta no life this game, man

You don't need to do Day 0, they will autoroll to day 1, if you wait
You have a 24 hour window, every objective can be held off for 24 hours with the autorolling, but if you roll the next day you're ***.
So that was wrong. No, day one's objectives will replace day zero's after you complete them. It worked this way last round and I just did it this round today as the reset happened.

Mhmm.
That worked exactly like I said.
I mean Jesus *** christ. It's not that god damn complex.
Do I have to write it in crayons? Pictures? You tell me how to make it idiotproof for you, and you'll still *** it up. Explain what is unclear.
If you missed a day zero objective, it remains on the menu.
When you complete it or deactivate it, it auto-rolls over to the day one objective.
If you continue to skip the day zero objective, they will roll to day two at jp midnight skipping day one entirely.
The phrase "If you missed a day zero objective" makes no mention of "You had to log in ON day 0 TO get the objective in the first place".
But whatever man. I already have my title from back when it wasn't complete *** to do. I'm just pointing out that you're full of ***as usual.

Complete a day zero objective on day one and it will autorollover to the day one objective.
If you try to wait until day 2, it will erase day zero and skip day one. I don't get the logic, but I guess it doesn't matter now.
What are you even talking about VB obviously
Read down if you didn't understand what happened with me
You only see day zero objectives if you were actually logged in during the 7 hours they appeared.
If you were logged out during that period, you start with day 1 objectives and never see day 0. Ok so that explains it. Needed to stay logged in. I had Day 0 objectives all activated (which I thought was enough to keep them on till next day), but logged out when I left home earlier before Japanese midnight. When I logged back in after JPM, they changed to Day 1 objectives.

Adding Infinity Cores to the Curator Moogle instead of the colored chips would have made the rune item objective a little less annoying.

No ones ever said that happened in the previous 7 bouts, entirely new statement. (never ever ever log out by choice, ever)

Oh gross
It's not just go get 5 eggs from the moogle, it's turn in 5 sets. I'm glad it's not the relic+3 set.

(never ever ever log out by choice, ever) You exemplify #JustAsuraProblems with your assumption that everyone leaves the game running and only has one character per account. All this effort to avoid saying "Oh, I should have mentioned that part, sorry".
Adding Infinity Cores to the Curator Moogle instead of the colored chips would have made the rune item objective a little less annoying. The weirdest part is it still requires something you buy from an NPC, so... you trade 21k for a hassle and... oh god it costs 24,439 - 26,299 for a single Bronzite.
IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE TO TURN IN ***FOR THE CHIP THAN IT IS TO JUST BUY THE *** CHIP.

Don't you just love FFXI? It'll never stop surprising us in the worst ways possible!
I don't even care about getting max plaudits or anything. I just hope to get the old cases+1, so it's not a big issue.
(never ever ever log out by choice, ever) Not sure what other detrimenntal effect(s) (aside from losing Day 0 objectives) logging out potentially has, but when I'm online, I'm (mostly) online. And when I'm not playing, I log out.

It must be some sort of SE glitch. Neither my main nor my 15 mules logged in during the 7-hour Day 0, I was sleeping! Logging them all in on Day 1 gave me 11 with access to Day 0 objectives, while my main and 4 mules just had access to Day 1 objectives.

Absolutely not checking them all; 15/15 mules on one char not logged in all have day one objectives
So, I don't think there needs to be a new thread. That was the point of not calling this "the fourth bout" etc.
Everything is basically locked in, as it were. The objectives may change slightly but by and large you can assume they're going to be more or less the same.
Do (element) damage.
Do a skillchain and/or burst.
Live through a buscade.
Cure and/or Raise someone.
Do one of the five minor bcnm/orb fights. (use bsts/pups for automatic wins)
Fish and/or craft.
Run the bird.
Not expecting anything radically different. The event is the same, the rewards are the same, no point in much discussion really.
The sortie crates are not special in any way. Still random. Segment campaign is still spectacularly mediocre. We will certainly hit the 150% goals. Blah blah blah.
I think we all know the deal by now. And as much fun as it was to shit on the first 3, I expect all the fun has been sucked out of it going forward.
Everything is pretty well explained.
(VBD) Are dailies
(VB) Are Totals for the whole event
It's all simple shit, Win an Ambuscade. Don't die in ambuscade. Do obscure minigame. Pet/poke/etc your rearing monster. Chocobo dig. Fish.
Don't forget to wake up early and do Day Zero Dailies.
