As someone who lived on OTC pain killers, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, fast food & sleep meds in my 20 & 30s.
I have less aches and pains now than I did when I was younger & abusing my body; tips:
Quite drinking. Stop smoking. Drink water (lots of water), tea & 1 cup of black coffee in the morning. Stop eating ultra refined & processed foods with high sugar, salt & fat. Get on a decent sleep schedule & keep electronics out of your bedroom (phones, TVs, tablets, etc).
At almost 50, I feel great. These are not things that happened over night; I took each step slow, 1 year at a time, over the last decade.
The next step is to start getting aerobic exercise ~3-5 times a week.
