So I'm working on my Mastery Rank and the two weakest points for me are Campaign and Moblin Maze Mongers.
So I been working on Campaign Ops this week as I only had 9 done according to XIChecker. Been repeating all these quests to unlock highest tiers. And I just came back online today and find that they all reset to about tier I or II.

Is this for real? Have I lost all that work and got to do them again in a new week? I never got to grips with that ***show of a Campaign map either. If there is a little sword icon in a zone I run out there and half the time there are no mobs to fight. I don't know how to read the red bars or understand who is on top in a zone. No wonder I hardly did Campaign back in the day. The way it's designed is simply ***.

But I'm sure you just need to hear that campaign music one more time before you start to love it lol

Op availability changes every week depending on the nation's controlled areas and hidden status parameters including intel, funds, supplies, skill, production, and morale.

In general, it can take 15-20 repeats of a tier to unlock the next one. There are certain classes of ops that also have requirements for a certain level of those other status parameters. If you find yourself unable to unlock a new tier after doing 20 repeats, you should try to do some SCNM turn ins to bump up your nation's stats. Turning in the boxes to your nation's SCNM NPC increases those stats and it's believed but not completely confirmed that actually completing the SCNM BC also gives a substantial stat boost.

The sword icon does not update in real time and lags behind what is actually happening in a given zone by a few minutes. If you hang around in town and have campaign messages unfiltered, you can see when and where units are dispatched. If friendly units are sent to a beastman owned area, a battle will start there in about 10-15 minutes.

The red bars show who has more influence in an area. Whoever has the most red at the end of the week will control the zone after the tally. If you're trying to take over zones, you do not need to wait for a battle to start. Simply go to the fort and defeat the defending forces until they retreat. Each retreat message decreases the enemy bar and increases your nation's. This is best to do at the end of the week as the balance will naturally shift while you're not there to intervene.

Thanks for the info. Quite frankly Campaign can do one. I'm not working away to just lose it all at the end of the week. I had Tier IIIs I was working on to unlock Tier IVs. All gone.

I've got 42 Campaign Ops done with the highest medal. That should be enough to get Rank 8, as someone posted they got Rank 8 with fewer Ops done. Such a really piss poor design.

Campaigns are content from when the game had a lot more players, and everyone doing ops would rank a city up.

Now with a lot less players, and hardly anyone doing them, they are a grind for a single character to rank up.

It's not a system for today's game, like a lot of them.

they're not entirely hidden, because I think Maruna-Kurina can tell you about them? but yes

I suggest that if you want to work on getting all the Campaign Ops cleared once, be prepared to re-obtain 4 tiers of medals every Saturday for a long time.
Since Ops reset every Sunday, just check every nation for Ops you haven't cleared before. Yes, this means changing nation twice a week every week.

Work on an Ops unlock or two yourself from among the less grindy of the bunch. Anything that is less work for yourself than someone else. for a 6-box player: Vanguard-X, Delta Strike, Pit Spider, Granite Rose, Brave Dawn, & Cut and Cauterize are only 3 completions each typically for a rank up. why? because they can set the objective on all 6, party up, complete once, and turn in on all 6.

If you 1-box, then avoid those for spam, work on another line of Ops or more per week for your own spam.
If you ever saw someone else in front of the Ops NPCs, ask what they're missing & working on. you can help each other unlock more quickly.

I'm only 5 Ops away from finished like this as a 1-box. Just waiting on Pit spiders & Cut&Cauterizes to open up in bastok to be finished.

There is an NPC in every city that'll tell you about the stats as measured in stars, but most of the stats are not visible from looking at the map.

As far as I understand, the weekly strategy vote will also retain higher tier Ops and make it easier to unlock Op levels.

e.g. for Stock & Awe and Materiel Storm progression, you'd want to vote for Resource Procurement in the Internal Policies menu.

The voting alignments can be found here, along with the NPCs to vote at and the NPCs to check what's active at the bottom of the page.

OK I think I have a grasp on the grind. Tell me if I got this wrong or not lol....

I started last week and managed to get to unlock and complete (for Windy only) Stock and Awe IV and Materiel Storm IV. I did one of each to say I had done it, then moved on. I also unlocked Search and Seizure but did not do this one. After tally reset that has disappeared and both S&A and MS have rolled back to only I and II tiers selectable.

I was working on Crimson Domino when the weekly reset hit. Think I reached tier III.

So am I to understand that I should just concentrate on one tier of Ops and try to max that out in a week? Don't dot about doing tier 1s and IIs of different ops? I spose I can grind out that way if possible.

The final Op such as Search and Seizure may be an issue if other requirements are not met?

correct, double down on a single line of Ops. If you know say, search & seizure will be impossible to unlock that week, don't bother with material storm I~IV since you'll just need to do them again once the other requirement to get S&S has been met.
(in this case, beastment control of a field zone such as meriph. mountains so a yagudo transporter can spawn.)
