I proceeded to type it out small parts at a time, and bam! Everything worked fine that way.

very odd. I tried /telling myself just then with that phrase and it didn't get blocked :x
it could just be the fact that im telling myself, but i haven't got anyone not currently busy to test it on. The only other difference between us is the name of the recipient. wow... this is sad, we get block for talking to friends, and freaking gil sellers/buyers still sending annoying tells to everyone, only thing they had to do is "www.name./om" -.-; *sigh*

Considering your 1st few had the word "Steal" in it and the 4 separate lined one's don't, it's probably the combination of steal with those other words.

naw, only the 2nd attempt had the word steal in it. its just.. bizarre lol
i had the same problem. i told a friend in /tell that "i'd bring my pld but i loaned out all my stuff since im not exping it atm." and got blocked. had to resort to typing it in parts too. i even used the same exact words but broken into parts and they all went through -.- srsly wtf?!

Well instead of complaining here what about contacting SE directly so they could fix it :p ?
No filter is perfect anyway. Take a look at email spam filters, biggest companies of this planet have been working on these, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, AOL..., and this for couple decades. It's still not flawless so how do you expect SE, which is a -small- company (compared to the above monsters) to release an excellent filter right away ?

In my opinion, the filter was stupid from the start. SE needs to combat RMT directly, not put on this passive aggressive act we're all used to seeing.

Cause SE doesn't have a forum to post in where people can laugh and think to themselves, "I can relate to that!" They need to combat RMT with all available tools.
This is just one of many tools used against RMTs, and I for one am glad that this is here. And Japanese don't hate fat people.... Just had this conversation with the GM:
 So we should contact a GM whenever we mention cake, cookies, or otherwise and it gets filtered. Awesome.

None of my /ts have been filtered at all, and so far only 2 people said it has with them. I even tried that /t that was filtered above, and I didn't have a problem. I've had tells filtered. So it's more than just 2 people. After I had stupid tells filtered, I turned the filter off.

Someone asked me how was work today, I said "It was great. I almost got my hand chewed off by a pissed off cat lol. How are you?" Bam, blocked. Waited a few seconds, tried to send again. Blocked. I wasn't in the mood to fight with an arbitrary filter, so I turned it off.
