Extremely Simple Windower Question That I Fail With...

Ok, I dunno if this is the right section or whatever but the windower forums are dead it seems.

How do you paste in game? Pressing ctrl+v simply puts me into first person.

Think it depends on the version but in the newer ones just open up whaterver you want to paste to and ctrl V.

And by newer I mean at least as far back as 3.3

It should be Ctrl+V.

It is defined in the init.txt and is should say something like:

bind ^v paste

It just doesn't work with me, it just puts me in first person mode. none of my binds seem to work... Perhaps it's due to me being in Win7.

Edit: Should I put // before the bind in the init.txt? I haven't done that.

Yeah, no-one else seems to be having the issue. Though launching the gui seems to have x64 turned off, which I'm pretty sure Vista/7 needs as standard.

And yeah, I thought // turned it off but I wasn't too sure ><

Ah ok thanks. Well nothing seems to work but It may be something to do with 7. I'll ask a friend on XP if he can get it running or not. Thanks anyways :)

Not too sure about this, BUT it could be the keyboard setup you've got in-game.
(mines always compact mode, not sure about the regular one...)
Try changing it to compact and see the result~
Otherwise, lets hope someone has the answer here :S

Interesting. Just tried doing it randomly running around not in any place I could do text open yet and it closed my viewer lol

I am on windows 7 and my paste works.

I have been having random errors with chatmon the past couple of days for no reason, I had to shut it off because if I get more than one message in a row the console pops u with lots of fun red textgobblygook. Donotwant!

Well since I think this is kinda related: I often hear references to windower macros ~ Is there some way to set macros up so as to have more than 6 lines with just windower?

Yes, as many lines as you want

Just gotta make a notepad file using console commands in the script to equip as many things as you'd like all within one macro.

This has been happening to me as well, although seemed to only be when people would use /say, but not every time? Anyway grabbed a screenshot hoping someone could enlighten me.

That's really weird. Did you customize yours at all?

Also, what do you use to change the font / cursor? I want to start playing around with those now that I have a better laptop.

I actually just started using it, so I'm a bit green with it. I changed some of the triggers around, nothing groundbreaking, but nothing I thought of justified why it was when someone would talk in /say only, and "aye" as the screenshot shows should for no reason cause chatmon to do anything.

The only other /say i remember vividly was the first time it happened, someone said "domaruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" in /say during dynamis, i think. i had red domaruuuuuu all over my screen, i thought it was a sign of the apocalypse.

did you make sure to open the chatbox first? pressing spacebar so you can type? mine doesnt paste unless i do that first. it could just be something that simple.

But yeah, the only thing I changed on mine was talking while the window is in focus. It'd get annoying to be looking at my screen and it telling me the obvious.

Can you specify certain things and not others? Tells wont usually evade my sight but you'd be amazed how many party invites just fly right by me in the log...
