These have been out for awhile now, and I never hear or see a lot of people augmenting them.

I was curious if there is any combination of augments that could make them better than destroyers or hades santi, and what those augments would be.

Assuming best possible circumstances on Wiki, base stats are:



and best possible recorded augments are:

DMG+5
Delay-28%
ACC+10

That's a very rare augment and if you check the Oberon's Knuckles page for the screenshots on this site, you'll see that most of the augments don't even come close. That would mean that the completed weapon would read:

DMG+23
Delay:70
ACC+10

That would give a total of 58DMG and 370 delay, for a relative DPS of 9.4. Same thing with Destroyers, 53 DMG, 348 delay, for a relative DPS of 9.1. The difference, thus, would be about 4% over time, not counting added effects. So it comes down to the ACC+10 vs. Crit rate+6%.

Now, I may be mistaken but MNKs should be using pizza nowadays right? So ACC should be capped anyway?

I guess it depends on what you're doing but I'd take Destroyers most of the time because my ACC is capped more often than not.

i wrote this on the wiki while back there just no way to really beat destroyers best case is a situational h2h and since the add effects proc rarely they dont come into play either

would make these more or less spharai. Minus the counter, same DMG, minus some delay, + acc, -attack

That being said, I've seen many oberion and even though Wiki says 5 dmg is the max, I've personally never seen it out of anyone I've ever checked or any screens. I don't even think I've seen a +3, but I may be mistaken there.

Unless I see a screen or someone with a pair of +5 (even w/o any other stats), someone probably just added that to the page based off the dmg+ they got on other weps.

What Vegetto said...until someone actually receives a +4-5 DMG augment on these along with atleast -20% delay they won't beat out destroyers/hades/faith on anything.
