Do I Really Need The O Kote?

A lot of people say that I do. I'm at level 59 on Monk so should I still bother? This is my first 75, or rather 99, so it'll be harder to farm for the Non-R/E. Should I bother trying to get them or not? The NM is camped most of the time I can be on.

Went 0/50 on the NM in two weeks. Farmed the money for them in two days. GET THEM! They're good til 75, then you can get the ones from xilotl and sell them or something.

Just buckle down and camp them till u get them. And the shoes.

You'll be glad you did when you eventually lvl Sam and possibly Nin.

I'll be the one to say you don't need them (I hate when the words 'want' and 'need' are use incorrectly) but anyone would agree that it's fantastic to have.

Farmed the R/e shoes, and farmed the gil for O kotes. The drop rate on that NM makes me want to punch a wall.

But yeah, Get them. I used AF hands until I built up the money to have them, and never looked back after finally affording them.

I wonder how the Noritsune Kote parse against them seeing as they are about 300k cheaper last time I checked.

Using non full usukane mix, walmart turban, bhaidate, usubody/togi, usu feet then a good portion of the time noritsune will be better also depending on how much acc u got in other slots. A build like one I said above with say nq snipers sting amemet mantle and pcc with no madrigal on colibri you will want to pretty much full time noritsune and pop kabobs.

The OP doesn't even have a Lv75 yet and you are tossing all of this super endgame gear at him/her, lol.

Was in reply to this, they asked about noritsune kotes so im gonna talk about 75 monk only and advise yes with "average" monk noritsune kotes are very useful.

NKote beat BKote anytime you can make full use of the accuracy. WTF @ madrigal in merits though.

@ your level . easy answer is yes. but there are options.

Horomusha Kote(300k bismarck) are 34 mnk/sam/nin and offer 15 attack and NO evasion minus (hence the reason they work well on nin) and so if you plan to level nin to sub job (NOW 49) you can make use of them on both jobs ^^....... also for bcnm's on mnk... i would recommend not using O kote's as they minus evasion.. which is undesirable is most capped Bc's monks are involved in

Yes you will need them, Don't worry making the gil in 2 days. Don't bother camping unless you have a lot of patience. I been randomly camping them every time i have nothing else to do, get claim everytime and guess what 0/lost freaking count.
but im sure is more than 40 claims on each NM. took me a week to make the gil for hands and another week to make the gil for the feet @ the time i was leveling NIN. they transfered then to MNK and recently to SAM, now i have them for MNK untill i A)get Bkotes or B)get Usukane.

They are really nice to have and MUST if you don't wanna get pointed @ now more that you coming to Asura XD , Tips for getting the gils: Farm EP mobs on lower levels for Seals and do BCNMs the Mannequin parts take a maybe a week tops to sell but is good gil and they are easy to do. NPC every piece of junk that drops in your inv gil is gil,Craft there is a lot of low level crafts that gets you decent gil "Sheep leather level 2 craft" "Ingots" etc. The time you can spend camping the NMs is the time you will make the gil once you hit 75 and upgrade you got a solid incom on those items.
