THF is "God" in campaing if you know how use.

and 2~4k xp/battle/half hour
Oh yeah I cap xp everytime on thf/dnc.

But on blu/dnc I overcap... by alot usually. And since I'm interested in notes and got tired of people pulling the mobs off of me... and it seems campaign has gotten popular again I'm doing blu. People tend not to take hate from my blu lol

Would a sam with noob gear be accepted into a party just because they`re a sam? i doubt it

sad answer: yes.

@true history: 2 month ago a guy make a ISNM jade sepulcher, 5/6 and need 1 DD, he say
(Leader) "lol a thf ask me, wtf lol lol"
(Darkei) who?
(Leader) name (I don't remember)
(the thf who say have mandau, X's, full hecatomb/homam)
(leader) ok, i got a sam 6/6
/examine sam
lolsam, w/o 6hits and nuevo: evasion+10 double attack

Like any job, THF is capable of good DMG with proper gear swaps and playstyle.

THF isn`t just a TH ***, its a DD in its own right, can get TP faster than a GA war and if geard properly can match them if not beat them for ws dmg.

Just because Sam`s can get tp on demand doesnt make then any better than anyone else.

Anyone and their gran can play sam, doesnt mean your any good at it.

True but people care less when sam does and do things that enable them to continue playing bad. Alot of other jobs you play bad have bad gear and people will just be like GTFO!

My THF always raped. That said, I carry around SO MUCH gear for the thing... miss that job so much :(!

EDIT: What if the THF is using a KC with capped acc, huh Veg?! WHAT NOW?!

For a few seconds there I was like... "Wait, I didn't say that, did I?"

In response to Calatilla:

I've met plenty of people who say, and I quote, "THF isn't a DD, go switch to something more useful."

And you're correct, every DD has to invest in their gear... The amount invested has a tendency to differ, though. 6-Hit SAM is incredibly easy to get, Hasso's delay-reduction, ACC, and STR Bonus vs what? Headlong Belt/V-Belt(Speaking in a sense of new player without R/E gear)? Without all the extra ***, THF isn't going to be coming close. I stand by not recommending it to newer players.

I have no doubt that a THF can DD, which is why I put quotes around the phrases. I've actually merited with a THF with the "Best of the Best" gear. Even so, I would still invite a Samurai, Dragoon, Warrior, Dancer, Ranger, etc etc before inviting a Thief to DD. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Unless of course, there were "extenuating" circumstances. ie: Being with friends, the THF was pimp, or not finding anyone else.

Well, I adore my THF but I don't have any illusions about my DD capabilities. It shouldn't beat any 2handers but it can come close depending on situation. Ranger it should be able to beat if Haste buffs are high enough (unless said RNG is KC, in which case good luck)... and Dancer I hope you mean for the buffs rather than the DD. In fact, often it would be better to invite a DNC over any other DD...

If that was to me, it was more toward general usefulness, as opposed to straight DD capabilities.

Edit: The list, that is...

Oh yeah, in high haste situations a DNC > any other DD. I didn't mean that sentence to sound as contemptuous as it did :p

Off-topic but related to easy exp on THF:

If you don't mind gimping your skill and catching it up later, just volunteer to be puller for manaburns in Sauromugue (S). As long as one of the BLMs or the COR is the level Sync, you can get EXP fast there.

On top of that, THF is a natural for pulling that camp for both pets because you can use Flee and/or Hide if you link/agro a Goblin, which saves the wasted time of Sleep and mass logout.

Also, THF-burn is fun as hell at Bird camp, but you pretty much will need to set it up yourself. I've had them 4xTHF +RDM + BRD and with 3xTHF + DRG/BLU + BRD + COR. Both ways were super fun. You won't out-do a party full of crazy SAM and WAR, but you'll kill birds plenty fast and get to do it on THF.

You're still a DD, just a weaker one. Hasso is very overpowered.
