If I had to choose, definately Soul Silver. Lugia (sp?) owns faces. Ho-Oh falls to one Rock Slide.

I have no *** clue who either are, but I want to play and Silver seems cooler because it makes me think of non-sparkle vampires.

You get both in both versions. You just get them at different points and lvls

Unless you have two DSs, I never saw the point in buying two versions. I always got one and my cousin would get the other. That way we could trade whatever.

I never like Ho-oh. I feel he has too many weakness and not enough things its super effective to. I also prefer a balanced or defensive Pokemon. I hate ones that have all offensive and no defense (of course I'll have one or two on the roster though).

They're really getting desperate for names. A couple of years on the FFXIVAH we'll be deciding between Vomit Green and Urine Yellow

I meant as in the specific gold/silver dudes, no clue who Ho-oh and Luigia are, so picking based off that is out.

You guys are awful. You get a party of 6 pokemon, you can use Ho-oh against a good number of pokemon that he'll be destroying easily.

Sure Ho-oh is good, but when it comes down to Ho-oh vs. Lugia, Lugia is better. Silver version was far more popular than Gold.

I don't know. I just get nostalgic when I remember Ho-oh on top of that tower. <3

I always have a party build geared towards taking down the Elite Four. Lugia can solo like most of it if I recall correctly, lol.

All I know is I love Heracross

Practically any pokemon can take on the elite four.

Like my strat which works on all version is just to use my starter pokemon (usually the fire one as they tend to be more offensive). Build it to lvl 10 before going to the next town and then use constant repels while fighting ever trainer I see with it. Oh yeah and catching pokemon purely for HMs. It maintains a lvl advantage high enough I can take anything on as it comes

Either way you can get Both Ho-Oh and Lugia in both HG and SS

I have a habit making my team before I even start a game (unless it's actually a new Pokemon, then I just see where things take me).

I always balance my team. No one is ever two levels higher than anyone. For example, my team would be like Lv25/25/25/26/26/25. I wouldn't use the 26s unless needed or until the rest are 26 also. One thing that makes me want to stab people is when they say "Rashid help me against this Gym leader!" , hands me their game, and all I see is a Lv45 Blastoise and the next highest is Lv25. What the *** am I going to do with that? Dug your own grave, buddy.

Anyway, not every Pokemon can take on the Elite Four. There are huge number that are just *** useless (and types). Now it's easier since they've dumbed down the Elite Four slowly every version, making the AI terrible.

I'll never forget Red/Blue version. Dragonite with Thunder/Fire Blast/Blizzard/Hyper Beam (I think). Back when it was difficult.

Is it like the others where you get one around Lv40 and the other is like Lv70 after you beat the game?

On red I took on the Elite 4 with charizard! Which is how I developed my strategy.

Slash, flamethrower, um... dig, and something else. Didn't like those low acc moves.

Anyways the elite 4 now actually lvl up after awhile so it makes it harder. Like in platinum from the first time I beat them to the 2nd time they gained like 10-15 lvls lol
