I doubt SE will recover items mistakenly sent to the wrong person. The same rules apply as overbidding on AH, or trading items to other players: it's up to the recipient whether or not to return the item/gil.

Well im sure you sent nothing to me :) but i would def return it if i didnt know what exactly it were for. Maybe list the name you think you accidently sent it to, or try catching them online if they already accepted it from DB.
