Server too busy?
This just in: following the merger, the servers are now too crowded. We will be now creating 4 new servers and splitting you off again. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Same thing happened to me, im also on Virgin Media.

getting the same issue now, ah items dont load, i cant search for people, my friend list is messed up, in certain zones i just constantly r0 lol virgin media UK

im on virgin media and all i get is the occasional lag spike
Virgin Media is a cable service, I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I don't see how it would though.

Caitsith didnt get merged
I cant get on game. UK virgin media here to.. lol Had problems for about 3 weeks now on and off, i was on a set top box...got it upgraded from 2mb to 10mb, got a new modem but im still running at 2mb LOL. And service has been terrible yes, maybe you should check if you are going at 50mb and not 10mb.

Virgin Media if you have heard the rumors about them if your running a old package with unlimited access for the net apparently they know how much you are using and if you use to much then have been cutting peoples net connections or lowering the output. I managed to get to the chara lobby after countless "retrys" and got r0'd straight away /cry
Ugh can't get on at all today, used to be able to get past the initial log in screen and now I can't even do that.
Guess what? Virgin Media as well! hmm sounds like it's everybody's ISP, because if it were server wide, more people would be complaining.
i'd suggest calling your ISP and asking them what's going on. maybe tech support first and see if they changed anything. Im Uk and also virgin media my friend is BT he only lives up the street and is having no problems at all just wondered if anyone has contacted virgin.
I can still play on xbox live and surf the net however i repeatedly get Error Code: POL-1160 I'm on Elisa so I don't think it's just Virgin Media having problems =/
Happend to my girlfriend and I in the states last night, we reset the router/modem and got back on fine
I've reset my router and modem twice now and the second time I got further on POL. Virgin website says no issues with service in the whole of the UK. My internet and Virgin cable TV are both fine, haven't tried XBOX Live. I'm just going to keep resetting everything, when we had a problem last week with XBOX live not connecting we reset several times before it went back to normal.
i just tried to login, getting a POL-0011 error "network too busy or no response from the server"

ya my connection error just turned into POL-0011 was 1160
