Ya got me! I'm somehow trained to think Nausi relies on weak strawmen and projected persecution as arguments. It'll take some deep soul-searching to rid myself of this prejudice welling up inside me.

When in doubt, use fallacy excuses to deflect any counterarguments.

That is the reason people don't trust the police. Read / listen to the entire thing. Note how the police officers involved in wrongful death lawsuits are still on the force and how other members of the force all toe the line about it. And in all those cases the police department "investigated" and determined the death was "justified".

But he had two knives and he was homeless! What a dangerous man living in the hills!

They shoot people the same way they would have shot a boar.

Or this.
the incident that saw Eugene Mallory shot six times as he was lying in bed

Unfortunately, police cover-ups, coruption, misconduct, and bad judgement is not as rare as it should be.

Also, no statistics are kept on this, so we don't know "offically" how often this happens*. It is recorded by the FBI on how many cops are killed each year while on duty, but unjustified shootings, cover-ups that have been uncovered, and wrongful convictions that are overturned are not tracked.

edit:
*there are several independent organizations who try to keep track of incidents.

The White House sent 3 aids to the funeral on the taxpayer's dime.

I was reading about it earlier before taking my mom to lunch.

The only general that's been killed in action in a very long time.

Service Honors Military General killed in Afghanistan

And they probably didn't send anyone additional because the man had a full honors military funeral. Which likely means there were more than enough officials in attendance.

Granted sending federal officials to a citizen's funeral is nearly always a publicity ploy, but let's not get too worked up about the "lack of delegation" at the general's funeral.

Had a friend who died in Afghanistan. Obama didn't personally attend his funeral. He hates Pennsylvanians, whites, reservists, people with moustaches, motorcyclists, and Pittsburgh sports fans.

*** that. Xbox Method for the win. Silt Strider to Suran, grab the Sword of White Woe from the Guard tower, strider to Balmora and grab the other one, then spend the next 3 hours bartering with creeper in Caldera.
