Hate to break it to you, but we are not a socialist country. Politics have a small effect (outside of taxes and regulations) on business decisions.

What Washington does on immigration doesn't directly effect 90% of businesses in America.

What Washington does on education doesn't directly effect 90% of businesses in America, at least, until the retards that are in school graduate.

Washington isn't going to set a price floor/ceiling on products and services, and other than health insurance (and hopefully not for long), isn't going to mandate people and businesses in buying specific products or face a fine tax.

Unlike Canada, where everything they do is a tax.

So, unless you deal with American businesses that are federal contractors who may or may not be getting cut because of budget restraints, you are full of ***.
