New AAA games universally suck but indie games are in the golden era

I think it was pretty close to 200k

So less than the stack of Panaceas. So one seg farm more than covers the cost of 2-3 9b runs. Cheap investment for the dps

New games don't suck, you're just jaded and looking back on the past through rose colored lenses.
this same argument can be turned around on you and your feeling about new anime.

I just bought all the wardrobes and max mules on my account and went from rank 7 to rank 9.

Our mules on the same account count towards the main characters ranking? That is unfortunate for those of us who just have storage mules.

I would pay decent money for a better homebrew version of the ffxi clock

I'm sure this will come as no surprise but collecting 198 SP Gobbie Keys and turning them in did not even come close to outperforming taking 1M accolades each week instead of 6 keys lol. Admittedly they weren't all from unity so it's probably more like 20-25 weeks of keys (millions of gil) rather than 33.

Items with value - Cehuetzi Pelt, Voidhand: COR, Obsidian Crystal, Moldy Gorget, Heyoka Subligar, Turms Leggings, Herald's Gaiters

Interesting but not valuable - Argute Stole, Rabbit Stick, Nefer Kalasiris, Smilodon Mask +1 (surge walk drop), Herculean Vest

Also had a couple pieces of unity gear, even more delve gear and a ton of <99 equipment.
And an assortment of bits and bobs that might slowly sell for ~50k. Looking at it initially I thought that maybe if some of those NQ crafted items had been HQ then that would have swung the results substantially - however the HQs don't appear to have the gobbie box tag. So given that I'm not even sure how keys could be better than raw gil unless you got a jackpot AMAN item.
By Torzak on 2025-11-14 10:22:00
Of course. I wouldn't both sacrafice DPS and use more Gil at the same time.

As RDM I did a sortie last night and used the ammo just on the 8 bosses and Bot, not on any other objectives. I think it was pretty close to 200k, but admittedly I could've been better about it than just eye balling /shrug

Somehow the Hoxna items made it in, but there's no update

Alright, I added it to the wiki.

I expect that Virtue stone-style OAT (also Dynamis weapons) can also proc, so if you were to use an OAT Rostam with an offhand and Hoxne Ampulla and no QA/TA, half the time you would swing 4 times and half the time 6 times per round.

Why 6? Follow-up attack can only proc once per round.

I thought the dynamis weapons were like virtue weapons and gave another chance to proc multi-attack. Does it still cap out at # multi-attack procs per round?

Definitely not. FUA is completely independent of QA/TA/DA and vice versa. FUA can roll one additional attack, which like the name suggest comes after all the others attack and it's a 50% chance during the round no matter how many attacks this round had (it can't exceed 8 attacks per round ofc).
By NynJa on 2025-11-14 08:27:51
Can confirm, got 6 more.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say, just because we do not observe it doesnt mean server side it runs a QA/TA/DA check on the attack round.

Byrth said he OHKOed 5 rabbits in a row on thf without having gil deducted, then the 6th deducted gil. The only logical explanation is the first 5 rabbits were OHKOed by an attack round that proced triple attack (even though the second and third attacks never happened), the 6th rabbit was not a TA attack round.

I think you're totally misunderstanding what I'm trying to say (and I think we agree).

It makes sense that the server decides how many attacks before the round starts. (although I did not really think about this)
It was not intuitive/obvious to me that gil is deducted when the round starts (rather than the actual swing - which would never happen)
The nominal test for this is pretty simple: 0 multi attack on a job, check gil, use item, kill something in 1 hit, check gil (1k less) (which is all I initially was describing - so it was a bit of an indirect response I guess)

Go forward from their with other tests (TA vs. DA vs native DA etc...) which make more sense now, I just misunderstood the initial premise since its more intuitive to observe the attacks. (those results are clear as a bell after clearing up the initial mis-intuitiion)

Is there an addon for checking titles you have, even if just the number, or do you have to do it manually across a gazilion of different NPCs spread around?
By LightningHelix on 2025-11-14 07:22:52
Also entering the Garden itself, 1,000 separate days.
By Lilianna on 2025-11-14 07:18:25
Titles for harvesting in the pond and sea. There are titles for harvesting 1000 times in each and you can only do it once per day

It only takes about a month give or take to get enough for all the achievement ones per craft, assuming you're completing almost every daily. Cooking is obviously worse. This might sound long (probably will take most people about a year total) but given I worked on it alongside the 3 year requirement ones for the mog garden, they felt a lot quicker.

I also kind of "preloaded" my GP in advance at some of the guilds so that when the synthesis campaign came around, I could quickly skill up and buy the items then switch to the next guild and repeat. Though doing this will reduce your overall accumulation speed as you won't be able to get the highest ranked turnins which generally raise the average you earn.

Which mog garden quest has 3 year requirement.

The main hurdle is needing GP to buy everything. Skiilling up from 70-88 in everything is the easy part.

Now the fun part of making a list of current achievements to use as a benchmark for the next hopeless sap who tries this lofty goal.

: currently me

i have been extremely lazy with RoEs so planning to finish those, and storylines/quests first, then will start chipping away at stuff like monstrosity/chocobo digging&raising.

is there a particular recommended order i do things in besides what i already have loosely planned? i have a craft i am planning to level during the campaign, but should i do the switcheroo stuff first? so i can get the stalls/titles from other crafts before going onto my desired craft/shield?

i feel like this is a pretty fun task, despite being basically overwhelming. stoked to have stuff to chip away at that i will at least be able to see a tangible benefit from while also having an excuse to do all stuff ive been way too lazy to do for years.
Make Mog Garden a part of your daily routine. If not actively skilling up crafts, at least be doing GP daily as well.

They withheld the crafting skill-up campaign quite a bit but this year they brought it back multiple times. Some crafts require hoarding of materials for the final stretch (Clothcraft comes to mind), so stock up so you're ready.

As far as I am aware, virtue weapons can indeed roll for the extra swing on all the other swings, but can only ever activate the extra attack once per round - once the swing is added it's not rolled for again.

If you're going to 88, no reason not to keep going to 98 to get every "Way of -" key item.
Unless you're actively building an Escutcheon :(
