While it's not the easiest target to test, one place I could see it being extremely handy is the new Omega fight when he gains shock spikes. I was able to Atomos steal the spikes once but then for the rest of the fight it was either missing/resisted or immune from the magic barrier which I had no idea when was up or down, I don't recall what the battle msg for it was, but after 30 more attempts I stopped trying.

Any reason why the TVR cosmetic set isn't storeable on any slip?

What sorta STR value do you need nowadays to cap fSTR on higher end targets?
Heck, even just Locus/Apex mobs?

I'm pretty sure 6 humans can knock that down to 30 min easy. I like your confidence!
Last PUG group, that was with 2 S5 Prime owners mind you, took ~60 mins in Temenos.
I've had >75 mins runs in Temenos quite often.
I haven't done Apollyon in a while but I considered myself pretty happy with <50 mins.
My "record" Apo was a bit under 30m and my "record" Teme was like bit under 40m.
Happened like... once each? Twice lol?
Both at 135 of course.
I haven't tried solo (BLU with 3 trusts) in a long time, release? Took me over 1hr for a single zone and shitty units.
I'm open if you have other suggestions on different jobs to solo!
I tried on my BRD but it was slower than on my BLU.
Thankfully it's easy these days to get PUG people when you shout.
The first 2 months I kinda gave up in depression, couldn't even get people to join, and that was on Asura.
The only requirement is you have to go early in the week. From Sunday (after jp midnight) to wed is sorta easy to get people.
After that in the week a lot of people are probably done with there 5 runs and so not interested in joining more groups.
Anyway, I digressed.
My point is that it seems like pretty hardcore, in terms of dedication of course not in terms of difficulty, if this is what you need to do for almost one year for a single set.
Surely we can find a better compromise between this current situation and the extreme opposite where you're done in a few days.

Isn't Sagasinger's buff steal basically En-Absorb-Attri?
Easiest way to see if it has a Macc check would probably be to take it up against Locus Ghost Crabs. They do Scissorguard and Bubble Curtain that stay active on them, basically for long enough that they need dispel or prevention.
These are also Rune Fencer type mobs, and pretty high level, so it should be obvious if proc rate is lower me thinks. Though they are crabs, ultimately, which are pretty basic.
Maybe test it on against Apex Idle Drifters? You could take note of their elemental cores that determine elemental resistance, and see if it affects proc rate, to determine element that way, maybe?

Hmmm. Testing of other add effects since then has shown that some add effects have a macc check and the proc rate can scale with macc. See vampirism, and the referenced testing.
Which makes me wonder, does Sagasinger have such a check? If it does, this may limit it's effectiveness vs high meva mobs. Does the add effect have an element? If so I'd expect dark, but... who knows. If there's a macc check and it is dark ele, then the rate may be lower on dark resistant mobs. Although, if any job can get enough macc/lower the mob's meva enough to make a non-ilvl wep work still... it's RDM.
Not sure if I'm feeling curious enough to go try to test any of this atm, but... I'll put it on the list.

They're saying trust system updates in March, but I really wish they'd just make Moogle Mastery ranks from Odyssey global. It's such a simple addition to power up trusts that takes literally no effort. Why beefed up versions of trusts are segregated only to Odyssey is the weirdest thing. Acting like they have to do anything besides that. Even if they halve the effect. Just weird roundaboutism.

Very small update notes lol
The level difference adjustment has been removed for the following areas:
The Boyahda Tree / Ru'Aun Gardens
If this is true .... the next content batch....they're sending us back to present day SKY???? o_O;;

That just looks like tier 2 to me without ionis or macaron, which is what you would expect for 85, no?
I have also seen tier 2 HQ rates, but that is because I always end up making the 85 or 90 (with support) recipes.
I've done level 70 kits and also level 65 kits, etc. plus the kits for the shield RoEs and didn't see 50% HQ rates.

Has anyone tested if Hoxne Ring enables none THF mains to upgrade TH level? If yes, past lvl 4 or only from level 2 (assuming you only wear the ring) to lvl 3 and 4?
Does it help with bounty shot?

They usually ad extra dungeon/boss and balance fixes with the port.
Like if you've only beat Chrono Trigger on SNES there's things you've never seen so you need to play it twice. or three times.

idk why people get so excited for ports like its something new. I feel like if someone has a switch 2 they almost usually have a PS5 or PC, so why get so excited for a companies 2nd money dip. Then the companies are launching trailers like its something new even tho the game has been out almost 2 years

Their go to solution seems to be to design the content for bots and many years down the line make adjustments so it also becomes accessible for regular players and soloistos.
I don't understand this obsession with botters.
Who do you know that is botting Odyssey, Sortie, or Limbus (matters, not units)?
SE hasn't designed anything that's even remotely compatible with standard bots except...ML I guess? Which frankly, doesn't even qualify as content.
|
|
 |
|
|
IME all the crafter kits have similar HQ rates and it's not tied to their level.
I made kit 85 for Leather and here were my results (the only ones I tracked):
70.24% NQ
18.32% HQ1
4.34% HQ2
2.38% HQ3
4.72% Fail

SE hasn't found or isn't interested in finding a balance to both anker botters while still offering a fair effort/reward progression ratio for regular and solo players.
Their go to solution seems to be to design the content for bots and many years down the line make adjustments so it also becomes accessible for regular players and soloistos.
The most reasonable thing to do if you feel you're done with all previous content but don't want to bot current content is to unsub and do something else till they patch the latest content to make it attractive for regular/solo play.

At least wonder man is only 20 minute episodes. God damn it's boring.

Content feels undone reward wise, Acquisition of matters/shards is too low. A single set doesn't have to take a year for people to continue doing limbus for several years considering there are multiple good sets.
There is one update to limbus coming, at least, so hopefully it adjusts rewards/introduces new things to do to increase the rate you acquire them.

...so I didn't miss anything.
3 per month is average if you do 5 chests. I'm not sure how many people manage to do 5 chests per week in both zones every single week.
10% of the playerbase? I think that's generous.
How many from login, 3 Alabaster, 3 murky in a year? Yai, big change.
Now we need 50 weeks instead of 51.
It's still almost a year, for a single set.
I'm not saying SE should let you be done with these sets in 3 weeks, but asking a year of work for a single set is a bit too... much?
Or maybe I'm wrong and it just means I need to step down, I dunno, maybe it really is just that :x

Participating in NM killing will up the average and lollogin will have them again surely

I still haven't bought any armor so please correct me if I'm wrong.
You need a Jewel (5shard+alabaster+murky) to uncurse each armor, and thean for EACH upgrade you need a Jewel + the proper amount of Units (which can be either Temenos or Apollyon, one at a time)
Which means for each piece you need rouhgly 31 Murky + 31 Alabaster matters.
Multiply that x 5 for a full set.
With an average of 3 matters per week (if you do 5 chests) that's almost one year to upgrade a full set.
Did I miss something? °-°

Dont know if freebies have their own rotation, would be hard to prove, but last night, one in my group, on the way up, freebies in 3rd tower 5K, then climb chest on 4th, 5K as well. So 5K is possible on freebies and back to back with the regular KI box. No zoning, 5-7 min top between each other

Its an officially available addon, is it not?
It's in native Windower 4, if that's what you're asking.

Pretty sure it was battlemod not craft
It is, I took the liberty (pulled from the battlemod lua:
------------ SYNTHESIS ANIMATION --------------
elseif id == 0x030 and crafting then
if windower.ffxi.get_player().id == original:unpack('I',5) or windower.ffxi.get_mob_by_target('t') and windower.ffxi.get_mob_by_target('t').id == original:unpack('I',5) then
local crafter_name = (windower.ffxi.get_player().id == original:unpack('I',5) and windower.ffxi.get_player().name) or windower.ffxi.get_mob_by_target('t').name
local result = original:byte(13)
if result == 0 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' ------------- NQ Synthesis ('..crafter_name..') -------------')
elseif result == 1 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' ---------------- Break ('..crafter_name..') -----------------')
elseif result == 2 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' ------------- HQ Synthesis ('..crafter_name..') -------------')
else
windower.add_to_chat(8,'Craftmod: Unhandled result '..tostring(result))
end
end
elseif id == 0x06F and crafting then
if original:byte(5) == 0 or original:byte(5) == 12 then
local result = original:byte(6)
if result == 1 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' -------------- HQ Tier 1! --------------')
elseif result == 2 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' -------------- HQ Tier 2! --------------')
elseif result == 3 then
windower.add_to_chat(8,' -------------- HQ Tier 3! --------------')
end
end

Pretty sure it was battlemod not craft, something definitely prints out 'HQ1!' or 'HQ2!' as the synth is going.
You just want something to filter on right, doesn't have to be in party chat.

Battlemod modifies the chatlog and reports HQ tier after a synth? This should be from the inbound result packet and should be able to be implemented in craft the same way
IIRC, craft already reports HQ tier.
