They want the community-building, IMO. If I see people talking about Mireu being up on a small server, mentioning %s and deadlines, I'm usually inclined to send a couple characters to help out because I know people are invested in it. A last minute Omega/Ultima push does the same thing.

I'd say they just want to balance it to a level where it is killed most of the time on small servers so they don't lose their content in the process. Again, similar concept to nerfing Vanabout: their estimated effort didn't match what playerbase put in.

I'm still having issues. People were talking about rolling windower back. Do I need to do anything to roll windower back or does it just update itself to a rollback?

My issue with their mentality is, why even make defeating Central NMs a requirement to upgrade chests if they're just going to give every server the rewards for free regardless of whether they clear it or not? If they aren't willing to let the community punish itself by not clearing the content, why not straight up provide the Gold Chests by default?

This is nothing short of incredible. But I have to wonder now... would it be able to port the real client in such a way, that it would work in a browser? This way I could enjoy FFXI everywhere I am on my phone and would not have to resort to some Windows emulation software.

Perfect Defense works against O/U, so if GMs can set the same value, then they are perfectly safe.

I 6 boxed Ultima from 80+% to like 27% and would kill it, but had friend help me at that point.

Omega is also killable with just 6box. You just bind all the pods and pull Omega on side and damage it as far as possible.

There is no "too small" servers to kill them, especially that those small servers usually have fully geared 6 boxers.

For me it works very good, especially after I deleted 50% of gear :D

WSD cape is like +2.2% for Dragon/Howling. Slightly less for Tornado and even lower for Raging obviously. Imo it's worth it.

You can cry about them not merging until the end of time, they'll merge when they want to merge. Do you think they're going to let their new content go unused because they misgauged how willing people would be to deal with O/U?

You mean while skilling up? While catching the fish for the ebisu? What's your target fish? What's your goal?

For skilling up: Pelican Ringx2, absolutely no questions asked.
For Lik/Gugrusaurus? Penguin/Albatross as needed. If you can get by without then:
Noddy to avoid enemies (if they spawn in your fishing spot)
Puffin to target large fish (if you're after one, and other non-large fish bite your bait)

It's really much too complicated a question to answer with such limited information.

This would make little sense though, unless they plan to noticeably ease up the event conditions for pop and victory in a soon-to-come patch that's not yet ready live.

Last time I saw a DM fight a monster was aeons ago, during lv75 era, killing Tiamat.

Now my memories might be at fault, but I seem to recall them receiving little to no damage at all from Tiamat, but being pretty slow in damaging Tiamat, which eventually fell anyway.
"Slow" compared to an alliance of 18 people.
If you consider they were a single player then of course it was incredibly fast I guess lol.

If your goal is to 9 boss Hard mode, it certainly helps to speed up both Aminon and EFGH. Otherwise no. Pre-ampulla, we were doing consistent MNK SAM 9 boss normal mode runs and HM + 7 boss runs while missing the 8th by 2-3 mins. Ampulla opened up HM 9 boss runs for us. I'm sure HM 9 boss without Ampulla is possible, but we never did it before we acquired an Ampulla and I don't feel like purposefully not using it to see how we'd do without it now.

Unfortunately the set doesn't overlap a lot with the jobs on herculean so most people will probably keep their DM augs. Not a surprise though since inventory strain has to rise.

I hate to nitpick again, but your advanced hybrid set has dual wielding Nirvana and Opashoro... not that I object to dual wielding staves.

Is hoxed ampulla a "must"?

I kind of hope the GMs go to casually kill them but then discover DT doesn't work, the hard way.

I think their system needs further refinement.
Not blaming anyone, but the weekly thing had its pros and cons, the 4 week one is imho better but has other issues.
I dunno, they need to think of something even better. Small tweaks but they're due.

I don't believe it's this simple, for bahamut Ultima died days before Omega, but only Omega respawned to my knowledge. If it was a situation of a conquest tally reset, wouldn't both have respawned at the same time?

Sworn: Ideal idle/hybrid set for pretty much all the jobs, great magic acc pieces, and with the fast cast on top for recast purposes for things like blu spells, absorb tp/stun ect. Great TP set for pretty much all the jobs, at least 3-4/5 for most of them.

Revelation: Good brd tp pieces, niche nin eva gear, seems meh for war but I'm sure a piece or two may be ok.

Clemency: 4/5 cor melee TP, maybe 2/5 for sam (hand/feet), 4-5/5 for drg tp.

Duty: Top tier TP set for thf/dnc/bst/pup, 2-3 pieces good for monk, biggest thing hurting this set is low priority jobs.

Sworn
I absolutely love this. It's awesome for RDM, it's nice for Phalanx on RUN/RDM/BLU, and it's in general pretty nice for DD for all jobs in list (well maybe not DRK?). I want this so bad, the whole set, I think this will be my first set and priority when the right time comes.

Revelation
I don't have WAR, I don't consider this particularly omg for NIN, it's very very nice for BRD, at least body/hands/legs/feet. A bit annoyed by the ~90 meva difference and puzzled at the PDL which is nice but not exactely much use for TP on BRD.
I love BRD but not enough to prioritize this set over others. I do eventually want to get at least those 4 pieces, maybe when and if things in Limbus will become faster in the future.

Clemency
I only have COR and SAM.
It's interesting but sadly I need to make choices, can't snap my fingers and get all pieces because augmenting them takes aeons.
Realistically I will probably get a couple of pieces (hands and feet?) but low priority.

Duty
Incredibly interesting set. Is it the most wanted by the majority of people, probably?
I don't care enough for the jobs in the list to prioritize it over other things. Not sure what I'll do. I do want it but, again, need to put things in an order alas.

For ampula up situations, is it worth it to swap to a WSD+10% cape over DA+10% for howling/raging/kick ws? like what kind of dmg gain would it be (deciding if its worth the inventory space).

Would use sim but seems to be broken, at least most recent version.
