Rumors that a couple AI slop generators have been shut down
It wasn't because slop, it was because of ... unprofitably would be putting it mildly. If you are using a small city's worth of electricity and water you need a positive cashflow and wankers making cheap porn or cheaper memes won't pay the bills.
Doesnt matter
Shut down

If you tagged Geomancy on mobs and then died, raised and cast an indi-bubble without performing a hostile action, that bubble would also be ineffective because you have not established any hate on the monster.

captain pedant reporting in to point out that dying only resets hate if you reach the top of the hate list while dead (same for zoning/logging out).. if mob aims to turn to you and you're no longer a valid target, you're taken off hate list but otherwise you can sit in the middle of it while dead or gone

obviously, you most typically have hate while dying but aoes and other mobs do exist

Idk when or how this testing was done, but I had the opposite experience. Pulled mobs in sortie basement by aggroing on GEO, got 0 paralyze procs.
By Richybear on 2026-03-25 17:37:34
I got one back then, but had them send it to a mule so I wouldn't mess with crafting moglification stuff LOL

I'm pretty sure that this maze used to be tuned so that you might be beating on an nm for 15 mins without killing it, and rewards were based on how much hp you chipped off of it. Ranks are probably in 20% HP increments.
By Drayco on 2026-03-25 17:17:13
Man I haven't seen anybody talk about this yet. Did you guys see the Yorva Replica option from Mog Pell Marble from Vanabout rank 3.

Pulled from BGWiki.
First obtainable via an official forums contest called "XI Years of FINAL FANTASY XI". It was held from Thursday, May 16, 2013 to Thursday June 6th 2013.

11 first place participants received this statue. All other entrants received Copse Candy x11.

That means that only 11 of these existed before this? It's a pretty cool decoration!
By Dalight on 2026-03-25 17:15:11
I just did Final Bout for the BCNM with the PUP strat, just don't drag your feet at the start because you only get 3 mins in there (it's more than enough, just don't decide to go in and go to the toilet or something)

Incidentally, since you guys were talking about it, just so happens my Vana'Bout site has a calculator for working out your password for Doctor status now. It already exists elsewhere, but, heck with it why not at this point. Can find it here.

I promise I'll shut up about my website now

Time to ask the only thread who would ever even possibly know something, again.

What are the "Ranks", and can you ever get anything other than 5? I haven't tested Voucher 9 with Supreme Might or anything, that's the only guess I've got, I'm just spamming it for easy clears / the occasional Revitalizer.

Oh damn, I never noticed this before. I've got some digging to do, and not just the choco variety!

In my experience... when defeating the mob for the 1st time, it went straight to 5, and repeat kills never changed the number. I've tried using "negative" modifier runes as well to impact it

I'm not sure it's been extensively tested, but I believe the community "knowledge" about Aminon HM is that it's the exact same fight, but with -25% DT.

Relevant link for 25% DT. They say the behavior will be changed, but I have noticed absolutely no difference. Possibly something related to TP moves (which we obviously never see). Might be the back-to-back TP move usage thing.

25% -DT and it wipes buffs on pull if you aren't careful is only real difference iirc

They both wipe buffs if you don't pull correctly.

My bad! I'm always on Dnc and obviously not paying attention :D
By benjamus on 2026-03-25 16:13:53
huh, good to know! Could be spaghetti related then, or just bad luck? Definitely report back if you try to dig in the niche zones that never get dug I suppose

Limbus weapons will certainly just be removing the dt and be high base damage. Theyre not going to be an ultimate weapon line.

Each rank up removes 2% dt to rank 25 (or 15 or whatever)

So youll have to choose 99k with limbus weapon or 50k with PREMA

If that was the balance, the Limbus weapon would be a must have for people who care about upgrading much of the new Su Limbus gear. Obnoxious grind once for a weapon that could slash the grind for all armor going forward.

I was thinking about your post and how to make Limbus weapons worthwhile.

TP Bonus off hands and a 2hand grip that smashes Utu would have a large portion of the players back in Limbus. Doesn't make the event any better but the carrot could be a must have.

I hope I'm wrong and can continue avoiding Limbus but it would be a smart content pushing move.

hm... I have two paths to go.

Either keep milking the cow with a special of Plaything, or trying to jump the bandwagon and try to capitalize a little doing something related to Chainsawman.

I think I will work in this second option for the rest of the week. Plaything is ongoing, and Chainsaw Man is right now at the unique point in its life, the closing.

It is one of the best recent shonen manga I read in years. I need to exploit it as much as I can, because once the hype is over, the state of freshness is lost forever in a completed series.

Yeah, Chainsaw Man, lets go.

Let's be real, a 50 DT ring that worked in all content would be busted and would go in nearly every single set for every single job. It would greatly diminish any effort necessary to build a balanced set. It would be a huge crutch for those who have it and a holy grail for those who don't. We don't need that kind of simplicity in this game.
I agree with every part of this post :P

If there were other diggers in done (doing Vanabutt probably) the easy zones were probably just all dug up! Faint memories of digging against RMT in Altepa, good times. I forget how long it takes to refresh items, good luck buddy
IIRC they changed this a while back, but I could be completely insane. More specifically, we're not actually sure. The June 2016 version update made it so you didn't have per-zone personal fatigue anymore:
Quote:
Chocobo digging has undergone the following adjustments.
•The limitations on number of items found per area have been abolished.
And BG Wiki THINKS this is a removal of the overall items-per-zone-dug-out thing:
Quote:
Historically, zones were able to be dug clean by multiple players and few to no items would be left until replaced at a certain moon phase. This was removed in the June 7th 2016 update. Thus there is no longer a universal item limit per zone, only a daily personal fatigue limit similar to fishing.
but afaik nobody has ever proven this, it's just incredibly likely... but it never would have come up before this Vana'bout if it is in fact still a thing.

So yes, zone, but also, who knows? Not me!

That's kinda shitty imo. Especially if parts of the world are sleeping at that time lol

You only miss it if you aren't logged in.

Won't argue that it is indeed, shitty though

Ya cause I need to sleep lol. Not gonna be logged in and up my electricity bill (that keeps rising cause of crap) when not using my computer. Definitely shitty of SE.

How did I miss the first set? did they release it before the day reset or something? :| when I was asleep?

Also, which comet one is easiest to solo? hmm. I'll have to check earlier in thread.

Seems easier to stack some minne on the geo and let them lead the way and gather/agrod the mobs then if you want easy luopon tagging

You're fundamentally misunderstanding the difference between tagging geomancy and geomancy being applied on initial aggro. What Wotasu was testing/confirming was that initial aggro did proc geomancy, but once aggro is lost, geomancy effects are lost because you are no longer on the monster's aggro/hate list. You need to actively be on a monster's hate list for Geomancy to take any effect.

Let's say you aggro 5 mobs and have Indi-Paralyze on yourself as GEO. All mobs have paralyze aura. Now a PLD uses Banishga. None of the mobs can ever proc "Paralyze" because initial aggro is lost. If the PLD somehow warped or died, none of the mobs would run back to the GEO (unless he either acted on the PLD or any of the mobs). If you tagged Geomancy on mobs and then died, raised and cast an indi-bubble without performing a hostile action, that bubble would also be ineffective because you have not established any hate on the monster. It's the same as it's always been.

The exception to this might be ambuscade, because all mobs in there have zone-wide hate and any action by anybody registers hate on everything.
bummer thats how I thought it was working.

Thanks for this, wasn't really seeing this anywhere. I was excited about the smart and elegant design that kept me out of Dynamis. Welp Dynamis here I come, at least I only need one core.
