I don't see the purpose in Kikoku, if you're using this for Blade: Metsu? You can accomplish the same with Blade: Hi and use Gokotai for DW:Regain, otherwise, I don't see how you'll get TP.

Using NIN as the main SC opener for Darkness (you can get +100/tick every 3 seconds, so expect to have TP roughly twice every minute), you can do:

Blade: Hi > (RDM, using his 1000TP from lobby) Chant du Cygne
Blade: Hi > (BLU, using his 1000TP from lobby) Chant du Cygne
Blade: Hi > (BLU) Chain Affinity + Quadratic Continuum
Blade: Hi > (PLD, using his 1000TP from lobby or Shield Mastery) Chant du Cygne
Blade: Hi > (BST, using his 1000TO from lobby or Regain from Gleti's) > Ruinator

MB Night Terror (IMO, seemed to do higher damage than Titan MB)
MB Doton Ni/San (Can put merits into Earth if you want)
MB Entomb with Burst Affinity (very long recast, you could consider dropping 20 seconds from Chain and Burst Affinity by adding 5 merits to BLU Group 1)

Depending on job comps and who is playing what in KI2, you may be able to burn someone's SP (Tabula/Caper/Bolster/Subtle Sorcery/SVCC are necessary for KI2).

You can use a number of Regain+ items to help, if you feel like minmaxing (i.e. PLD can Vim Torque +1 + Reikiko for +40 Regain, BST can idle in Makora Meikogai for group Regain, Frontier Sodas).

This part of the fight is all about doing as much damage as possible to soften it up for KI2, so whatever progress you make will benefit your main fight much more.

Our experience, YMMV of course, was that during 1KI attempts we weren't even remotely getting to a time close enough to a kill with better luck on auras.
Actually most times we simply failed because for one reason or another the BRD was getting bad luck and adds coming back at us from downstairs or dying (and/or couldn't make it back up to re-apply Threnody anyway).

That's maybe the main reason why we tried the 3 KIs attempt, we were pissed at adds messing with us. But we were also excited at the idea of trying a less used strategy, with its pros but also its challenges I guess.

id imagine it'd have to be either a belt or an earring as 1 hasnt been used as a main storyline reward, and the other was just for those zilart/CoP side missions so plenty of options there

We spent a lot of time doing 2KI, I think we even tried 3 KI a time or two.

In the end 1KI was much easier, we could spam it a bunch of times in a row and eventually got the point we could repeat the win even with bad auras.

slots with pretty homogenized gear that could see some cool stuff:

• ammo (FU RNG and COR)

• waist

• back but it would have to be amazing to compete with ambuscade capes and null shawl

• shield/grip (big FU to dual wielders and pld though)

Exactly this we have JSE+2, null and TVR necks. A lot of jobs are using Sailfi belt+1 for TP and WS or Fotia Belt for WS.

Both of these are wrong, the real real secret is just not want the item, want something entirely unrelated like an earring for a job you dont ever use and you'll get the one you want instead.

Nah, I was helping my returner friend do sortie for his EMP+2/3 he got a COR+2(which I need and can use) and a DRG+2(he does play it and I do). I got 0 +2 earrings from those boxes.

And I have to give a shout-out to our Brd as they did an excellent job especially with the adds
We used sch with a mechanic I am not to familiar with but it helped a lot with hate

As well as the brd having miracle cheer so songs were a non issue during kiting

Therondy is very important and some reports say it negates the magic accuracy aura

I think I also forgot smn on the first ki
We did not use it for dmg mainly new and some buffs
But I think someone said diablos can also do dmg

This is the set that I use. I've taken a lot of my Souveran out of my cure sets because the low magic evasion kept getting me killed. While some of the other pieces aren't swimming in Magic Evasion, any extra is better. Likewise, I've moved on from focusing on enmity as curing against multiple targets isn't the best way to raise enmity.

Srivatsa or Priwen will push your PDT past 50%. Shell will take care of the rest of your MDT. For reference, my JSE earring has 4 DT.

Even a Pld with just aegis and a cure/sird/dt set is easier to do aminon with than run. Add excalibur and can contribute to dmg too.

Rest are nice to haves. Aegis and cure are only hard requirements.

I was raised in an extended family structure. All the descendants of an immigrant couple five generations upline from me with get togethers and meeting 6 - 8 times a year. All kinds of family benefits including a family cemetery with plots laid out for all of us including decadents not yet born.

I went into this thinking that pld would play the whm and tank roll as well

Also has me questioning how passable RUN would be for the time being

While I have played quite of few of the roles involved in a successful 9 boss I have yet to play tank especially a tank that cures in place of a whm

My current challenge is getting my group to understand the kite method / concept for just an 8 boss
the current weakness for this other group is our tank options for this strategy

The real secret to all items drops that load into personal pool (UNM, Sortie, I think there's a couple other systems) is to help someone and you'll get what they want.

What slot would be a better candidate pick for it really? Earring would probably be good if it had unique stats we haven't seen before.

When I was playing with Pergatory every time he would say all he wanted was a SMN +2 I would get a SMN +2.

At this point I’d be happy with a 3 or even 5:1 exchange rate of +2 earrings, even just getting the consumable earring of your choice and (most likley) getting a min roll anyway. I have dupes of a few jobs and it’s mega frustrating.
