I did a Venus Orb over the weekend where I successfully completed it. For final two chests, one turned into a gold chest (not rainbow). I had something like 3 loud thuds, 4 thuds, 3 noises. There was one of the hints about a possible ITG sound to be made, but it never appeared.
Drops were Cath Palug Hammer, Moonlight Coral, Beitetsu Box, and some other random stuff. 3 Nibiru weapons.
I also did a Mars Orb where I picked the Mimic on the first box, and a second Venus Orb where I picked the Mimic as the 5th.

I did not touch chocobo-races in decades, but now a wild mastery-rank earring appeared... I tryed to gather some chocobucks for the chocobo-digging (skillup) body, but my char with registered own chocobo dont have the "free run" option, only -> Offical races (0 chocobucks) atm. But official races are tough.
What do/did i do wrong to miss the free run option? Thx for advice!

Yeah thats its main purpose but it has targetlock as well. it calls it auto_point i think it is
i modified gaze to only have targetlock when im locked on a target (kind like your normal mode) since it was annoying for me that it was always on (like your always mode)
Ahh gotcha, thanks for clarifying — I didn’t realize Gaze’s auto_point effectively covers target locking too.
In that case you’re right that there is overlap in behavior, especially if you’ve already modded Gaze to only face when target lock is on.
The main difference (and the reason I made this) is that my addon is only concerned with facing your current target while engaged + target lock is on — no gaze logic, no turning away/returning, no reaction to mob abilities, etc. It’s basically trying to make the native Target Lock behave more like a modern MMO where your character actually tracks the mob’s movement consistently.
So if someone is already happy with Gaze (especially a customized version), they probably don’t need this. This is more for people who don’t use Gaze at all and just want reliable facing without any combat automation.
Still appreciate you pointing it out though — it’s good info for anyone deciding which route to go. :)

the autolock ingame not rally locking you on target has always been an annoyance to me. constantly have to move a bit for it to take effect.
The fun part is i asked the developer of Gaze to implement this since they where so close to having the perfect solution. but he said it wasn't possible.
That when I tried to modify the code (its probably a hack job)
Would you consider adding Turn away features in your targetlock add-on or do you consider that out-of-scope? |

That's really interesting about the effect on Wild Card by Snake Eye. Is this assuming Relic Feet? Would be huge if Relic Feet increased this further...

Also just came in to say that the unlock of the BattleCam, is just pure sex. I've always hated the locked camera since i started playing.

I don't know the prices on your server but my gut feeling says you can buy a trove cloak for less than what the alexandrite stage of a mythic would cost.
The question is do you still need a mythic to improve one of your jobs. Never owned a cat's eye so can't comment if the info on wiki is valid. |

SAM gets TP so fast its hard for me to tell the difference between my Zanhasso build and my MA build.
The 10da and 2hand acc cap pair well together for SAM. I'd rather hit a mob for a low value and keep my SC going than have a miss.

Has anyone ever killed the Apollyon ITG and NOT gotten the ??? to spawn?
I'm not 100% sure but I believe somebody must have as I was once clearing the 3rd Bug Floor for units over and over and over and about an hour into my farm the '???' spawned. Either the old '???' disappeared and I got the first ITG mob assigned, or somebody killed one somewhere and it got reassigned to my floor. But it's tough to really hunt Apollyon because it seems to always be up. |

While looking for apps to use/learn, I ended with Adobe Creative Suite, that would be the jack of all trades that could help me with many of my creative tools needs, from video editing, 2D animation, and even AI creative generation and OCR (when I decide to try AI translation on mangas not yet translated).
In theory, all I need is there. The price is salty, but if it delivers everything ir apparently does, I would say it should be a fair price. I would pretty much paying the sub instead of trying 4 different apps for what I need.
But the question is... is that suite really good as they say? Or just a workaround between those many fronts?

Got rank2 on a mule, Cat's Eye seems like best gil item, but can't send it correct?
Looks like 10k dyna pieces better than the M. Detrius stack (gil wise)
I think Crep. cloak looks like best option overall?
Does the crep helm/mail RR effect work if paired with twilight or both need to be crep?
I believe Null Mask is easier to get than the crep stuff?
Anything I'm missing?

119 and 3x cdc... besides pld mobs in temenos. they need more. mages and rangers only 2. its an hour/run basically, can be more if some anoying party kills as slow as me and claims my pulls or if the lag is so bad that I fight the game, not the mobs. |

I don't know how it is on other servers, but on Cerberus, we just sneak/invis to the exit and pull the nearest mobs there. Goes for both Temenos and Apollyon. There aren't many people doing Limbus, so you rarely see other mobs getting pulled due to being overcrowded. Maybe it's more active on other servers, so mobs further from entrance / exit get pulled. That could explain why it's so rare to see it spawn on smaller servers, yet seemingly spawns all the time on servers like Asura.

I'm still a bit skeptic it's "just" a chance on each ITG kill, that somehow seems to be incredibly consistent in apo but not in teme.
Granted that the level design point raised by other people is strong, so I dunno what to think anymore.
It feels strange to me that this huge difference is caused "just" by the different levels layout.
Then again do I think it could be that? Well, it does sound strange but then again possibile, I don't see why not.

Have I missed an announcement about SE raising the weekly cap from Limbus?
I used to be 0 remaining mid run on the 5th climb. Now I have 20k+ extra. You did miss that yeah. Cap was raised with the Jan version update.
