Had my first ever Kidney Stone today.
Ruined the day's plans of attending wife's sister's birthday, but my wife took care of me with grace.
And I got a good feeling when we were asked if we were single and dating vs. married. :) Married!
They gave me morphine, and the pain beat the morphine. I was surprised.
But I'm home now with a percocet prescription and an array of peeing drugs, so... Here's to hoping it goes away sooner rather than later.

Did this get taken down? I've been away for a little while and thought I'd check it out, but the page said nothing was there. Was a really neat tool.
I renamed it, and changed the hosting - you can find it at https://gearforgexi.fly.dev/ now. I have a bunch of other stuff goin in so, I havent done any new work on this in a while. Mostly, I still want to actually add more gear to it. |

But then its not a true remake of the fight! Not that it would be the 1st time they did that (waking the beast got done dirty). But just meant they could make a bunch of various accessories along with the unique pieces themselves.
Fact all the rewards were augmented even if chosen in the case of the armor itself likely poses an issue though but im sure they could add an ilvl variant and just reward another KI to repeat the process. |

So... not sure if anybody else experienced this before but today I used a Case+1 inside Sortie. The case got used but I got nothing out of it.
Must have been a lost chat packet, I thought.
Another friend, altough he usually doesn't have the best of attention, claims in his chat log he saw me getting a "??? geo +1" earring.
But there's no trace of that earring.
Even after zoning, logging out, logging back in, still no earring wherever in my inventory or in any other repository.
I even doublechecked the Recycle Bin before exiting Sortie, but nothing was there either.

Those 3 fights they could reward literally ANYTHING they want, and they have 3 hats / 3 bodys / and 3 legs equipment models to play with that are otherwise quite unique.
Could go even further if you add in the augmented items each of those final fights added, ACP iirc was an earring with augs for about every style, MKD rings, and ASA i think was down to a mage or melee style belt, a lot of reward potential to play with in those fights if they were willing to go back to them. |

Fun fact: Provenance Watcher is the only monster model that has not (to my knowledge) been repurposed for another fight. |

Lilith HTBF was added in September 2019. Shinryu HTBF was July 2021. They'll wait and do something similar with the rare Shinryu drops in 2026-27 (because the 4+ years we've had to get Shinryu drops isn't quite long enough torture to pull the "ease up" lever yet, lol). And they'll probably still have an absolute trash drop rate to get a Wyrm God Box, but at least you won't need to isolate a specific piece. Cope asf - do not hold your breath |

Maybe the hidden message is that only the bad get laid.
And the bad never use protection.

Nice little tool, thanks for putting this together! My only reservation is the site could potentially go down and you lose your checklists if not backed up locally, so I'd want to ensure this stays up long term. Is there a way to export the site data locally?
+1. Alternatively, if the site author puts an "Upload" button, I'll write an ffxihub addon that exports all of your acquired spells in a CSV file that people can upload. |

There sure are a lot of active game bundles on HB right now. If I wasn't convinced that it's just a DLC trap I'd consider the Warhammer one.

Maybe you'll have to trade stuff that drops from the bc!
My uncle works at final fantasy and told me you'd have to trade an R15 Guttler to Cactrot Rapido while lockstyled into full PUP empy to get a Uranus Orb.
It works just like Mars and Venus orbs except 9 of the chests are mimics, and the 10th one has a VR chance to drop the shield (assuming you open it on a full moon while facing south south east). You do need to be ML25+ to enter this special A.M.A.N. trove and if you die it resets that job to literally level 1 (if it's one of the core 6 jobs), or relocks it if it's any of the unlockable jobs.
Also your adventuring fellow dies forever if you even think about participating in this new piece of content.
Can confirm, I am 0/427 on this so far. When will SE fix the drop rate? |

Don't forget about the ACP and the other mini-expansions. I'd love to have iLevel version of those fights--especially if they give new customizable iLevel versions of their rewards. |

Not questioning the need for resistance building from a balance point of view, just saying the mitigation is not ideal, breaks immersion, and makes the experience frustrating.
I am all in favor of a system where you can't stun lock mobs while fighting them, but I want it to be symmetrical between Players and Enemies.
Hell, it could be as simple as: if an enfeeble gets resisted, some damage is taken instead. Have that scale well and you can reach a state where players have to consider that during the second half of the fight they might not be enfeebled as much but they'll be taking extra dmg, presenting healers and tanks some interesting decisions.

initially i beleive bind worked similar to the mobs variant but it was obviously taken advantage of so it was changed to what it is now, same for stuff like enfeeb resistance building not being around until later on for the same reason.
Mob gets to cheat because it doesnt have potentially up to 18 or more players worth of actions it can do at any given time. That said i did hope that they would go look back and bind/break and apply the veil formula to it where you could hit the mob x times before it broke based on users skill and maybe potency
