The price actually isn't so crazy. Probably 1-2M per usage on low delay jobs, only a couple hundred thousand on 2H users. Weird that they didn't just make it always-up with a 30 minute uptime.
150 delay with 80% delay reduction is 2 swings per second, so 2k per second * 1800 seconds in half an hour * whatever you think a realistic penalty for WSs, JAs, and running between monsters is.
480 delay with 80% delay reduction is 0.625 swings per second, so 625 gil per second * 1800s * penalty
I doubt TA (or normal DA) preempts using gil per swing, but that might save money too.

That Ammo is the most game breaking and meta breaking item ever introduced and its the first item I would consider really worth 1B gil.

Huh, they fixed the bounty shot animation bug already. I reported that in September. I guess they don't always ignore NA reports, or maybe it was easy enough to do quickly

It works for everything, but paying 3mil an hour to do more damage isn't something most players will do for everything. You might run it for Aminon to boost your WS, but you're probably not going to run it the entire Sortie run every day. Most likely wouldn't use it for seg farm.
It's a huge buff for groups that can't clear V25s yet. It's definitely the most game breaking item released since Kraken Club, but it is still situational due to cost.
It has 1min recast, so you can easily just use it for every basement boss, not whole Sortie. Every Odyssey v25, Bumba KI1, Aminon, pretty much every fight where dps matters. for stuff that dps doesn't matter it simple doesn't matter.
I edited that last post, but it's not only +dps for many jobs, but opens completely new builds. It opens up much better TP sets with Malignance. Opens up Nyame path A. Opens Fast Blade II as meta option for many jobs. There is lots of use cases. |

30 STR on an earring is capped gil interesting
You clearly have no idea what are you talking about. This earring at max rank is maybe +5% WS damage. That ammo for Godhands MNK is +50% dps.
And that's ONLY for Mastery Rank 10 people. If you're Mastery Rank 6 it's only BP +5. Which is not worth it. |

Not sure I understand what the Hoxne Earring is supposed to do btw.
I guess it means BP damage?
And it gives a different value from -30 up to +30 and this value changes according to your Mastery Rank?
Starting with BPD -30 at Mastery rank 1, but it makes no sense for the earring to give a NEGATIVE bonus on Rank 1. I mean I could understand zero bonus, but negative? That would be highly unusual.
Then after a certain Mastery Rank it turns around and becomes positive, capping at BPD+30 on Rank 10 or something? I dunno, I'm confused.

I have been grinding to get Mastery Level 8 with my multibox team, which has the unique twist of having a lot of retired friends characters and only one that was always an alt (so they have a fairly non-standard amount of old content cleared).
I was fairly certain I was closing in on rank 8 before the update, so I was checking my teams level before the update. Upon login, all 7 moved up a rank (3x 4->5s, 3x 5->6s, and my 7->8).
As I finish off my to-do list for the old rank 8, hopefully I'll ding 9.
If they added new things past titles, some examples could potentially be Limbus NM kills (which don't give titles) and Sortie progression (outside of titles, I think Primes/Sortie were introduced after the original ranking).

Been getting reacquainted with the game and had a question. Sitting on a Stage 4 Foenaria but noticed that across a number of scenarios there's been no MP return/absorb from using Origin. Was it ever figured out why not when the tooltip says that Origin absorbs MP?

Two series that gaslighting made me incredibly awkward recently is Chainsaw Man and now Silent Hill 3.
That moment the pervy guy said to Heather: “oh, so they seemed like monsters to you” completely broke me.
It turned a ritualistic/demoniac story in a schizophrenic sociopath committing horrendous crimes without even being aware of it.

Is the 100% DA buff lost if the ammo is removed? It's strong enough to where it definitely is still worth using even if it is, but good to confirm.

Can't say how they split the pool between loud and ITG, but I just got a Menelaus's ring off a regular loud, so the old trove-exclusive drops appear to be still present in the loud thud pool.
30 minutes of guaranteed DA is an obscene buff
It's also warrior's SP2, and in fact even better because it does not decay. I'm a bit ambivalent about that. And yeah, it's a huge boost for half of the jobs, and a lesser but still significant buff for all the others. |
