I did that BC with other galkas! XD I don't remember if we were in 6 or less, but we did win the BC, multiple times!

I also remember loving the lv ~30 Galka specific set when levelling mage jobs!

Oh totally. Definitely, yes. I editted my post to reflect that they're useless by today's standards. But, if I were in my peak Try-Hard mode of playing FFXI at that level, I would have sought after 5 other Elvaans to win those earrings too.

Back then where the amount of power you got from gear was incredibly smaller and, as a consequence, the % of power coming from base stats was way more relevant... in such an age having race specific gear that were trying to boost the weak points of every race (which back then was a bigger difference than it is today) was, I dunno, I'm not sure I would call it good game design but it certainly wasn't "weird" or "useless" given that era's standards and meta.

I daresay the solution to this is skilling up, rather than obsessing about skill+ gear. 20 more skill will also not cap a character in this situation, after all.

Why I say that?

Because yesterday my playthrough was going way smoother than usual, scoring like 6 gamedays in matter of 3h, what is insane considering how ***is RNG here.

But then I noticed a very very easy task rewards immensely disproportional rewards for the effort. And if I had done this task back in the very first days, I would speed up a whole lot my progression, what would result in a faster playthrough.

So here Im, erasing the marvelous 6 gamedays I recorded yesterday, and back to day 2 in game, with this new info that can potentially make for a more optimized run.

And this is basically why Ive been struggling this past months trying to find the sweet spot on progression.

You never learn things beforehand, or never noticed how rewarding some detours can be.

Is Adhemar (head, body and hands) still the best option for a standard TP set (where -DT is not heavily required, in which case I'll just aim for Malignance)?

Curse reduces Max HP. I don't remember the potency of the grip, but it can shave off a HUGE chunk of HP even from NMs, and it has already been used that way in some fights iirc.

I've never seen it land, so we stopped bothering to try. Not worth your time or effort at all, IMO. Spend exactly 0 seconds giving a ***about it.

It's funny how the majority of people over these boards take +5 as absolutely for granted, like is' 100% guaranteed it's gonna come.

I mean, I won't certainly rule the possibility out but the fact we got absolutely no sign at all makes me think it's not really guaranteed we're ever gonna get +5.


If we do, I doubt it's gonna be a huge upgrade but an interesting side-grade.
A small boost to SOME of the stats that were untouched by the +4 upgrade, but no change for all of those stats which were affected by the +4 version.

I'm absolutely positive on the fact we're getting at least 2 new sets from Omega and Ultima, with the models of the original sets. Stats wise they'll try to be original I guess, hopefully something nice.

Can you please show us how you managed this? I have many accounts I'm logging in for friends for Limbus while they're at work, and am tired of the "guest" login garbage. Forgetting the Global disconnect time is annoying.

Has anyone gotten Armor Break to land on v25 Arebati? I know Silence and Gravity aren't that hard to land, so I figured Def Down wouldn't be too bad either, but I've yet to get it to land with SV Threnody, Rayke, Tropical Crepe and a top-end Macc set including full AF+4. I'm guessing I'm wasting my time, but if it's not a floored land rate then I'll keep trying.

I tested it out and it works.

It's comfy coming home after a long day and hearing XI music ever so faintly growing as I descend the stairs.
