I live in comfortable* poverty. My mortgage is under $700 / month. In Seattle that $700 is CHEAP for a room in shared housing. A cheap fast food lunch is $5 - 7. Any sit down lunch starts at $12. Coffee beans recently went from $5/lb to $9/lb. My phone is $40/month/2 lines and internet is $60. Minimum wage in this state is currently $16.66 /hour which is STILL not enough to buy housing in Seattle.

Real inflation is over 5%, my CoL increase will be 2.6%.

Dang, after an entire week of attempts, finally got a acceptable record.

bit vague on my part but emp+2/3 with AF body/relic head, good macc skill+macc weapon + shield or macc OH and the basic MND/macc accessories are about it along with a good macc food. Can build down from these sets https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/55385/rdm-end-game-gear-guide/ though i like to keep chironic hose in anything with an immunobreak chance on it.

Depending on where your gear is at some of the mages or RUN can take an additional cast, usually immunobreak will trigger on the 1st if my memories right though and the 2nd cast will land. NMs, especially casters can take more, BLU and RDM in particular you want to save CS/Stymie for as both can ruin your day if not taken care of asap, rest you can just immunobreak down normally imo as they dont have near as much immediate danger

My group managed an 9 boss hm run without splitting up using melee dnc method. Got some help over the months from in here optimizating our runs. Wanted to share the good news.

What's a good macc and enfeebling skill level to land Silence on Dyna D Wave 3 trash and NMs?

Getting my RDM up to snuff, and I know the NMs kind of need Immunobreak or Stymie mostly, but having issues on the regular mage mobs too.

Well I was (c)hoping that the matter drop rate would adjust on the fly as NM's are killed but that doesnt seem to be the case. 14 NM kills on my server that I know of and I went 0/6 on matter.

I'm sure someones gonna say "well kill them and this wont be a problem", but if theyre NOT killed the content is cooked for 4 weeks and theres nothing you can do about it.

BLU needs some form of buff duration enhancement. +20% attack is amazing. Having it last 90 seconds blows. Make it cost more MP if necessary, idc.

Never gonna happen but skill playing a role in duration similar to how smn buffs work would be nice.

I'd even argue Metallic Body and Diamondhide don't really belong in the list. Both cap at 500 and BLU already gets 460 at 99. With ML 40 you're capped without any +skill gear and even if you were ML0, a 100% blue skill focused midcast set would most likely overshoot the 40 extra points by far. ML7 isn't too much to ask and at that point you can cast with Hashishin Tayt +3 to cap metallic body and equip fast recast in the rest of the slots.

It's so disappointing that BLU has to carry a full set just for 2 spells while other mages respective skills affect most of their tool set.

Song bonuses are massive and there's no replacement for Aria, but from a buff perspective, it's attack speed, attack and accuracy. I'm sure there's probably a way to do melee setup with a GEO entrusting Haste instead, but it's not optimal. You'd probably struggle to cap attack without a Minuet somewhere (unless you bolster), but you wouldn't have Aria to take more advantage of it. Doesn't mean it can't be done either. I have brought two sub optimal DD jobs to sortie PUGs (NIN and BST) and we still cleared 8, but it was more effort required than using better DD.

Bard and Corsair are pretty much "irreplaceable" in ideal melee setups. You can work around it if you're good enough as a player or group, but if you're that good enough to be well geared and skilled at other jobs, chances are someone will have Bard or Corsair built anyways, so it's a meaningless adventure just for the sake of proving it can be done.
