Think I wanna do a weekly Pulse weapon farm. and maybe some omen cards. Community is #1 and community lead events are #2~ Again, if you feel compelled to help new players with gear farms please let us know. 1 hour a week doin ***like UNM, Ambu, Vagary ect goes along way in helping this infulx of new players.

Alright, fair enough, if it's that easy to get the section and floor data in a human readable format, it's reasonable to do it. I don't like to carry redundant data, but since there's no actual meaningful restriction on data transfer and storage here there's no reason to make my weird design aesthetics somebody else's problem.

That does remind me of something though. Had somebody telling me about Project Silmaril telling them where the teleporters were in Sortie, and how it would give them the exact distance to them. When I said that sounds awful and I'd definitely find coordinates more useful, I was told I was wrong and I couldn't find anything with coordinates, only distance. But the important thing is I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time.

So... giving users coordinates for points of interest is useful, but maybe have an optional ping on entering a new floor, giving a direction and distance ("Floor alert! Bihu 120 yalms northwest!") would be a handy feature? It's not perfect, see the whole voidwalker NM system, but it'd be a nice user-friendly touch.

We actually left the zone entirely and let it go unclaimed while we regrouped and did a /yell. The resistance built never wore off. It took a while to build though. The main issue we had early on was lacking some needed jobs to kill it fast since several NMs were up at once, most of the group I joined at the NIN fight went to go to fight the BLM and then never came back to deal with the BLU.

In a properly coordinated kill the resistance should never build enough to matter but I can definitely see this being a serious problem on smaller servers if someone tries to lowman it and gives up after debuffs stop working. In the last minutes of the fight Paralysis was starting to drop significantly in duration as was frazzle and distract.

I dont know about that. There are two weapons (two very good weapons) that need Bayld. There are 20 weapons that need alexandrite, atleast 8 of which are very good.

Unless you're constantly making new characters every 4 months because your ***keeps getting banned (and you keep coming back to do the same ***that gets you banned over and over), I cant imagine the imprim's being that much of a road block.

Anyways, the "very plausible" usecase is debunked. You could have loaded the addon and verified it yourself in two minutes by doing exactly what I did:
Unload addon
zone to Limbus area
Port to a floor
load addon
Look at data presented

instead of reducing the time between imps, could just make it so the final rhapsody KI reduces how many imps are needed to rank up a coalition, 10 instead of 20. halved the Ergon making time, no effect on economy?

Just saw the Mandalorian movie trailer and it just looks like episodes from season 4. Why is this a movie? Nothing worthwhile is happening in that storyline. The show was a huge waste of time. Now this movie looks like a huge waste of time.

Ideally, they'd just tie it to rhapsody in (whatever the 9th one is), and give the same sort of ridiculously strong timer effect they did for assault and others. It's not like the time gate serves a purpose besides making the job exclusive. You can have a mythic in the first ~10 days of playtime unless I'm overlooking something, don't see a reason Idris/Epeo should be different.

Maybe... or maybe it's a UI-only thing that gets triggered by teleporting to a given floor. Only way to be sure would be to have someone pos hack from one section/floor to another and see if the UI updates without the teleporter interaction.

The thing is though, why bother at all? The silver cordons literally require you to have already finished with coalitions and then some: complete all legendary rank assignments, and all assignments including legendary (except the ones that aren't available any more.)

"Hey, congrats on finishing with coalition assignments - here, now you can do coalition assignments faster."

Even bronze is pretty bad. Complete 68/90 unique assignments to store one extra imprimatur. Complete all assignments up to and including rank 5 (out of 7) to get imprimaturs 8.33% faster.

If you do coalitions to get bayld, sure, those key items are great, but if you're just in it to be done with them, they're too little too late.

Just read this stuff, I really don’t think coalition was time consuming or hard, yes it took 6 months, but at 1 hour a week you could do it, with the quest at the same time. I thought the mog garden was as long and that’s not mentioned. Also a lot more pointlessly annoying in my opinion.

I welcome the Kupon for the people that gave up on the last item, not concerned but that will help them.

Also welcome some change to limbus, if you play 90 minutes a day, that’s a speedy work to get both limbus zone done, so yeah those NM get skip every single time. Maybe killing a NM should give you that wing KI, I don’t know something got to change for people to actually have the desire to hunt them down.

There's probably a lazier way to do it, since I'm noticing patterns in the placement of each section, but eh, the "lazy" way means more work for the programmer and less for the machine in this case.

Apollyon definitely seems to be easy to narrow down though: if the x coordinate is positive, skip the west options, if it's negative skip the east. For z, negative skips north, positive skips south. Check the distance to five teleporters instead of seventeen.

So yeah, no need to explicitly record the section and floor if keeping communication lean is a factor in preventing stutter when talking to the server (though... actually remembering that the x, y, and z coordinates are all important would help, oops. Kinda forgot that towers tend to be built in an up and down kind of shape.)

i did a WAR in temenos last night with DRK/COR/BRD/GEO/WHM.

needed 2 eva songs, indi-slip+geo voidance, and NIN roll and then it just constantly whiffed. before we got the buffs right i got destoyed a few times... whm got blasted for >5k.

not sure if my DRK buddy used Blind or not but assuming not, otherwise would prob just drop the NIN roll.

Getting golden cordon shovel means spending a lot of time and effort doing every single quest in Adoulin.

Being legend in all coalitions is child's play compared to how much effort all those quests are.

Great for ergon weapons though.

But the smartest idea is restarting yes, but not on a single player setting, where I can save scumming. Restarting playing in a public server, where I cant do that.

Smartest because 90% of my time is spend on save scumming to get the semi perfect shot to record.

If I dont have this option, every move is a progression, regardless how slow (in game terms).

By comparison, my last attempt had recorded 9 days, what means 4.5h hours of gaming. This taking like 2 months to get means I can have equal recording in a single day, despite certainly less progression.

But eventually I would catch up.

Aside that a save scumming gameplay certainly is frowned up for players. Without this option, my playthrough is more meaningful in the end.

3 months seems reasonable. It takes about that long to gather currencies for most ultimate weapons via ambuscade, omen, campaigns, ect. if you're farming normally.
