Went from Synergy 21 to 80 and still Rank 8, btw.
Wonder if they're tracking lifetime crafting HQs and if so, are they counting synergy crafting separately? I've spent years scrapping sky god seals and years before that tattering abjurations and must have quite a high number of synergy HQs by now.
Normally I'd think no - that if they kept track of this kinda stuff, they'd add a way for you to check it or surface it via some appreciation event moogle or whatever. But we have the oddity of, say, chocobo digging levels - something that they definitely track but that's only indirectly available to us to see. |

I'd also like to note that TP from jump TP bonus is affected by STP as well. So Ostro's +40 is also going to get boosted by all your STP+.
It's really too bad that Jump TP bonus only applies to the first hit. But.. it's already fantastic, so I suppose getting that boost on extra hits is a bit much.

I figured out how to level synergy again and, in the process, discovered why I had memory-holed it and had basically no records of the process beyond a few BG posts. It doesn't need to involve Lua and is 99% just slamming Enter like an OG turbo controller.
Prep work:
* Remember Model Synergy Furnace II
* Acquire a stack or two of the relevant fewell
Process:
* Trade 1 fewell
* Trade recipe
* Slam enter to feed (Fire is the top option and the recipe skill cap determines your skill up rate afaik, so use the highest level recipe with Fire in it that you can)
* Buff yourself once in a while so you don't die
You can do all of this with windower's alias, setkey, and wait functionality plus the tradenpc addon. That exercise is left to the reader.
Went from Synergy 21 to 80 and still Rank 8, btw. This is effectively what I did this weekend. Though I did not trade a fewell before the recipe, what effect does this have?
Went from ~29 to 72, also still Rank 8, but I am missing a lot of other stuff too. |

I used a Stall myself - specifically Fishermen's because I had it levelled anyway. Took water fewell, so marginally slower to select at the start every time, but still worked.
(Isn't Model Synergy Furnace I better than II? II gives duration up but I gives skillup chance up.)

I didn't want a repeat of last time so I kept the event live through DM's only.
It went off without a hitch, although there were several last minute scheduling conflicts. In the future I may have wanted to get 28-30 Abyssites lined up rather than 26/27.
Our spawn w/ shadow happened in the 1st 5 spawns. We got 1 Dex ring and 2 Int rings. Afterwards everyone moved on, so no new science was made. I think the closest to confirmation we had of "1 shadow per all 25 zones" was last Friday when we spawned all remaining zones after missing the shadow.
Mirroring Felgar's statement, I want to thank everyone who attended, everyone's patience with the whole process, and everyone's hard work farming abyssites.
Black abyssites take sometimes multiple hours to farm... with poor luck... I've seen myself 0/7 on T3 upgrades and its just miserable. Some of the attendees farmed 3 Abyssites themselves across mules to make sure things went smoothly, and I had a few volunteers do so just to help in the outside party and be on standby. Your efforts made this all work out, so thank you.
I'd be happy to do more of these style of get togethers with a common goal. It's nice to see everyone succeed at once, and it brings me back to the old 11 days, but damn is it tough to juggle peoples schedules, frustrations, and egos haha.
There are a few people who missed out on this event, the main one being Hya who had to leave when we pushed back the event by 1 hour, and I feel really bad for everyone who did. If people would like to form up a group for doing this again, I'll gladly donate my 2 black abyssites and farm a 3rd for the cause.

I intuit that you're hoping it works like:
* Attempt to use Step
* Presto is off cooldown, so instead send a Presto command and delay the current step by a second so Presto gets used first.
* Presto gets used
* Step gets used after Presto
I haven't used cast_delay in more than a decade, but I don't think it is designed to work that way.

I was doing something much more complicated at first and used Huginn Gambieras + Abdhaljs's Honor. The only thing I kept from my original approach was enough Lua to switch attempts to use fire fewell to earth, so I was feeding earth and keeping Haste up

Just a combination of
Jump: TP+ gear
Multi Attack
Store TP
Besides Ostro Greaves, I don't bother using other Jump pieces, but that's for DRG. Normally on WAR, if I use jumps, I just jump in my DT/DA gear (Sakpata) since switching out to Flamma or Tatenashi +1 is squishy (though better TP return). And if I'm not mistaken, unless you're a DRG, Jump is a slight DPS loss without all the Jump: TP+ pieces, but it's fine to use since High Jump serves a secondary purpose.

I personally don't see a reason not to idle in my Summoning magic set unless I specifically need DT, Regen, or Refresh.
As opposed to counting up everything, I check my Summoning Magic Skill while wearing, and it's at 735. No Avatar out.

I assume your avatar dies all the time. What would a pet DT set look like if you *really* didn't want your pet dying? When I tri-box RP I have my Fenrir solo Distortion and they take a lot of damage at times so I was looking at building a pet DT set.
I threw this together real quick on my own but am interested in advice.

Are you still Rank 7 or 8? I think that Titles and RoEs are needed but I believe they are secondary. I think each rank up has a specific condition (as well as a minimum title count).
What titles are you missing? Still rank 8 - just cleaning up some RoEs because it's an easy tab to get off my spreadsheet (AF quests are soooo slooooow)
Missing an absolute kajillion titles. It was just complaining about the fourth character of RoEs and the colon that it's overlapping! |

War can wear Ostro greaves. Pretty sure Jump TP bonus+40(and +2% DA) will beat out Argosy handily. Though there is a bit of acc loss.
